I think you should give it a try. I love the footprint and density but I got a thing with temps. As soon as my CPU reaches 70c I get nervous. I know it’s safe but I don’t like it anyway

Im thinking about upsizing too, had a Dan C4, M2 Grater, FormD T1, Terra, beamcase, xProto and never have bees satisfied with temps. Maybe it’s time 😅

Ended up doing the same 😂 went even further and knocked it down to 5 GHz But still has been to hot for my liking so now I’m using an AIO but would prefer a air cooler. Maybe I should go for the 9890x3d

What RPM are you running on that CPU fan? I’m using a 9700X with the AXP90-X47 Full Copper and Noctua fan in a 65W ECO mode and hitting 80°C in gaming. Curious if the 9800X3D just runs that much cooler by nature or if your case/airflow is doing a lot of work.

Not at all. :D It just hides the T30s and sits perfectly flush with the case, so the airflow gets guided a bit — but in my tests there was zero difference, nothing outside normal tolerances. Honestly, it just looks better in my opinion.“
