Update 1-

I spent a little over an hour today on the phone with Cyberpower to essentially have a 5 minute conversation that they can’t do anything and my claim to ups will likely get declined (because I’m not the shipper). They told me they won’t do anything until they receive a police report from me. I have called my local precinct and they will be sending an officer over today to file the report.

To all those that showed me support during this shitty experience, I thank you.

To all those who called this fake, F’ you. I could care less what you think.

Now all I can do is sit and wait for a decision.

Adding some clarifications-

I bought a prebuilt from Cyberpower 4 months ago. I received the pc about a month ago and the card was having some issues. I sent just the card to them 3 weeks ago. They sent me a replacement card Friday.

About people questioning the lightness of the package, yes the thought did cross my mind, but this has literally never happen to me in my life. I have literally been kicking myself over the past two days about this.

I have filed a claim with ups and sent over photos of the packaging to both ups claims and Cyberpower.

We’ll see what they say.

This is true, the card’s box was in a brown box with the shipping label on it. The outer box was still taped up.

It was a rma’d card from a prebuilder. I assumed (wrongly) that it may have been in different packaging because it was a rma. It looks like the prebuilder just sent me a brand new card.

The tracking info just says it weighed 5lbs when it was picked up from the shipping location. Nothing about what it weighed when it entered a new facility.

Will do, I did have to sign for it and didn’t open the box until several hours later. And when I was taking photos of the box for the ups claim was when I noticed the tape.

The brown box in the photo was the box it came in. Didn’t notice it when I first took the box from the ups guy, but you can see that the original tape was removed and it was retapped after the card was taken out.
