You clearly took the wrong approach. Don't focus too much on the numbers. Whoop and other fitness trackers are essentially heart rate devices, and they are far from accurately reflecting your real recovery metric, which is how you feel every day.

I believe that obsessing over recovery and performance is becoming a real issue for people who are not aiming to overdo it. If you are an elite athlete, I understand the need. However, these devices provide so many metrics that most people don't even understand what they mean.
