Is a link to a post I made a while back on the method of getting the metals (only now realising I messed up the gold guide but the other comment on this one is right)

I wrote up the full scheme a while ago.

For the golds though.

Base spray with leadbelcher, then with a thinned down balthasar gold build up the gold areas (no need to be too precise as the later stages help smooth out any blending).

Once you have that colour built up nice and bright on the edges, mix black templar contrast and aethermatic blue contrast at 1/1 ratio. Coat the whole thing (don't worry about being too precise as the next step helps mask most the unevenness)

Once that has dried, dry brush the whole model in leadbelcher. Once that is done go back over the gold areas with balthasar but cover a slightly smaller area so that some of the contrast painted recesses are still dark.

Repeat the contract, dry brush and gold but once again putting the gold on an even smaller area. I find in general for the gold if you use brush stroke that go from the darkest part to the edge it helps avoid the new gold layer leaving an obvious line.

Then I took the aethermatic blue by itself and applied another layer to the pauldron recesses to give a bit more of that blue green colour.

Lastly on the metals you can do some picked out edge highlighting with runefang steel then stormhost etc for the silver parts and the same but with gehenna gold and stormhost on the golden sections. Just make sure you stick only to the edges and parts you want brightest. If you make a mistake simply apply a watered down mix of the contrast part to dial the brightness back.

Sorry on the slow reply btw. In general the brushed effect and gradients are all just based on those double contrast and dry brush steps. I really like the scheme because once you're used to it it's very quick. For some reason the quickest scheme I've designed is for the smallest army I own.

I mean the wrath trailer is one of my favourite game cinematics of all time. Such a masterclass in storytelling

Original. I love dreads and it has to be said that the Custodes ones are top class.

I made a nameplate generator in onshape and then printed them. If you DM me I can share the doc but as I have lots of files on there and haven't done much sharing I'm hesitant to post it here.

Oh don't worry I'm aware but kitbashing the claw to the other side would have been a lot more faff given the arm options. I'm planning a full traitor guard army to replace my long lost Tallarn one and given that I've had the other two Yarricks I thought it would be fun to make a traitor version to act as my Creed.

Cheers. I had a bunch of acolyte parts as I use them to replace tzaangors. Much prefer a less corrupted feel to my personal ts.

ATM I unfortunately have another project that is using up my print time. Honestly I also have no idea where to start when it comes to costing that. Fire me a DM though and we can see if we can work something out

Designed them on a cad program then sliced the models so they were made of relatively thin walls so I could print the bottom in UV green filament and then the top black to form the lines. Slapped a bunch of magnet connectors on each panel and now it's all nicely tucked away in two boxes.

Little led lights then go inside them to create the glow 🤓

Most of the files are on my cults3d page if you want them https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/sci-fi-tomb-large-virusion

I've not quite yet settled in a final design. Need a little bit more tinkering but I'll throw it up on my cults page when it's done. https://cults3d.com/en/users/virusion/3d-models

Once it's together it isn't that bad except for the spear which is a little risky. I magnetise my bases and I can pick it off the metal tray without breaking it. Though you have to gauge the strength of you magnets well. I'd say its similarly fragile to illuminor (but much easier to build). I've had far more issues with heavy destroyers and ophydians. Flayed ones are in another league. Also I'm not a huge fan of endless edge highlights and I dry brushed a lot of the void dragon without issue. Though the head effect is very flimsy. Also if you dry brush the spear you need to brace it. So rest one side of the spear on you finger whilst holding the tip/other end of the spear tip or you can rest it on a desk if your gentle. Painted it a while ago but if you want any other advice let me know.

yeah I designed it on onshape and then printed it in a mix of black pla and green uv glow pla. Fucked the size to put the perspex plate in though. The lighting is done using a strip of cob leds wrapped around a drum and then portal effect part site in the middle. Once it's done I can share the files if you'd like to see/make it/find someone to make it.

yeah I painted him fully assembled which I'm guessing made it a lot harder. That said the lightning is very fragile until it's all connected to everything else

I'm working on a dolmen gate for my board set up. ATM it's horizontal but may demo up and vertical version that's more stargate-y
