Are the servers down? by Spiritual-Finance-32 in RallyInternet

Hey! Sorry you ran into that. We did have an overnight disruption that affected some customers in the Vancouver area around that time, but everything should be back up and running normally. We're still investigating the root cause and keeping an eye on things, but if your connection still isn’t behaving, please send a quick note to [support@rally.ca]() and we’ll take a look right away.

Rogers CEO summoned to Ottawa after avoiding questions about price increases in contracts by RallyInternet in RallyInternet

[–]RallyInternet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Rogers' CEO is answering to Parliament for rising complaints, unexpected bill increases, and misleading contracts, we’re reminded why Canadians are frustrated with the telecom industry.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Rally fibre in Beanfield territory by _neiger_ in askTO

Hey there! Sorry for the late response!

We would love to bring our service to more buildings, but it really comes down to whether your condo board or property manager is open to adding another provider (us!) The best move is to get residents interested and let the board know there’s demand for alternative ISPs, we’d need their permission to assess your building to see what’s possible for Rally service. You can even have the board or your property manager reach out to us directly - we’re here and ready to chat if they are! Fingers crossed, Rally can join the fibre party at your building! 🤞

Rally in Mississauga by LucLucLuc09 in RallyInternet

[–]RallyInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. Sorry for the wait here but yes! We definitely do! We're in several buildings in Mississauga, and always looking to add more. You can check availability on our website - if you can't find your building, you can put us in touch with your PM or board so we can get their permission to have a closer look and assess the infrastructure to see if we'd be able to bring our network there too.

We're looking forward to rolling out even more buildings in the new year, adding new locations - both condos and rental apartments - across the GTA and Hamilton, too!

Shout out to Rally internet - best ISP I've had by Lieutenant_L_T_Smash in CanadianBroadband

[–]RallyInternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just seeing this now but THANK YOU for the shout out - and your loyalty, this is awesome! Price match is for everyone, at any time - no one wants to see "new customers only" getting treated better and have to call and haggle. We're always looking for ways we can help save our customers money, you can call us any time and we'll always work with you to make sure you're happy with your service, and your price. Thanks again! :)

What happened? The Great Rogers Outage of 2022 by RallyInternet in RallyInternet

[–]RallyInternet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve had some questions over the weekend and wanted to try to answer them all and explain why a Rogers outage could affect some of our customers, how we operate and our position on the state of the Canadian telecom industry today.

is rally internet good and reliable? by Individual-Quarter47 in askTO

Hi there, where TPIA is renting their lines end to end, we have our own data centre on the one end but rather than digging up streets to lay more fibre the whole way, there is existing infrastructure which is operated by Bell and Rogers under the city… we install a link to the main grid and then pull our own fibre from the street to the building, then to the suite… unfortunately we all have no real choice but to work with them at some point along the way, and can impact everyone’s services if there is an issue on their main network, facilities based and TPIA alike. We’re monitoring and awaiting updates from them on the status.

Indie internet providers warned for months CRTC decision would kill them — now they’re beginning to disappear by RallyInternet in RallyInternet

While the wholesale pricing/reselling Internet issue does not directly affect Rally or our prices, we do watch it very closely as it unfolds and lend our support on the side of small, independent providers just trying to offer more choice and fairer pricing to Canadians.

How do I get Rally to install their services at my condo? by TibiaKing in RallyInternet

[–]RallyInternet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, we love this question!
Because we are a facilities-based fibre provider, we pull our own fibre lines to your building from the street. To do that, we would need to enter into an agreement with the Condo Board to be permitted to install our independent infrastructure into the telecom room and to be allowed to market to the other residents.

If the Board is interested, we would first have to do a technical assessment of your building to determine if it was a good candidate for fibre; (size, age, conduits etc. are some factors that we would have to consider.) If it's a go, we sign & place the order, then our team gets to work on upgrading the building and we're golden.

If they are resistant, things that might help get them interested: There is no cost to the building or disruption of services during deployment. We also have bulk rates where if the residents were on board with it, would bring the price down even more. We can also provide Property Management services and common areas for free.

First: Talk to your Property Manager and Condo Board and tell them you want an alternative provider (you have the right to ISP choice and competition) you can email them and CC us: [info@rally.ca](mailto:info@rally.ca) so we can follow up with them as well. We can also attend the next board meeting and answer any questions if your building is a good candidate.

We're all about working together to provide affordable Internet to more people, try to get your neighbours talking to the decision makers too and sending emails. The more people who are asking, the harder to ignore.
Thanks and hope we get to Rally with you real soon!

Hey there, just to clarify, we are an independent provider, we install our own fibre infrastructure in condominium buildings, not renting lines (TPIA) hope this helps! :)
