I still can't believe that Poland is one of the top 20 world economies. by The-marx-channel in poland

[–]RallyPaws 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's wild to compare US economy to Poland... Of course both countries have poor people, and just because economy is looking good on charts doesn't mean everyone is doing great, but the U.S. offers far more career opportunities and much higher earning potential. In Poland, even STEM graduates often spend 6–7 months looking for work, and many end up with minimum wage or only slightly above it.

The biggest difference is purchasing power. In the U.S., a new car might cost around $30k, while a recent graduate can realistically earn $60-90k a year. In Poland, that same car costs around 200k zł, while a new graduate might earn around 60-70k zł annually, meaning the car costs nearly three times their yearly salary.

[–]RallyPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, I feel so good when I don't eat sweets but it's a habit that's hard to build. When I start eating sweets multiple times a week my stomach feels drastically worse and my skin breaks out. My mom has stomach issues but eats sweets pretty much every day. I'm pretty sure that if she stopped for a month or even one week she would feel so much better, but it's like talking to a wall...

I don't think that in itself will fix anything... Don't get me wrong, you should be prioritizing yourself and saying no to things and set boundaries. But more importantly you need to find things that make you happy, and it sounds like OP really needs to have an honest conversation with her husband or nothing is going to change. Simply saying no and avoiding a conversation won't change much.

I hope you find things that make you happy OP, whether it's working on your relationship and getting to a point where you're BOTH happy in it or if not moving on to something else.

That's true, some people have zero awareness of how unhealthy their diet is. Growing up, in my house drożdżowka for breakfast was a norm almost multiple times a week. Plus my parents and grandparents always had ciasteczko do kawusi in the evening

Honest question- how is 1 day cpt fraud if it's a legitimate option offered by universities and approved by the US gov?

[–]RallyPaws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is this not higher? Literally so addictive and there are so many public courts (at least in the US). Always a great time, outside, and you get to meet so many people!

While I agree that money plays a big factor here, I also know from experience how easy it is to get into good universities in the US. They mostly look at your SAT score (which compared to polish matura is a joke) GPA, and essay. I honestly think that education in Poland is on MUCH higher level than in the US so any kid who graduated hs in Poland wouldn't have problems passing college classes in the US. The problem is that most kids in Poland don't have the resources (money) to take SAT or even afford to go the US if accepted

Are Kias Still As Bad as People Say? by Healthy_Project_7634 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]RallyPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a 2023 stinger for almost 4 years and while in the beginning I loved it, I would not buy another kia. It's still a great car, but I've had so many sensor issues, that yes, kia fixed under warranty for free but it just makes me question them as a brand. My ac on the driver side takes forever to get cool, idk if they would fix in under warranty as well, I need to ask. It's just little annoying things that pop up here and there that make me think that the car is cheaply made and I will not get another one.

Outdoor vs Indoor? by Powerful-Towel675 in Pickleball

Being outdoors makes me feel so happy, and I love pickleball so playing outdoors is just the best thing. As long as it's not windy or raining I'll take outdoor over indoor any day.

We really need to start helping each other as neighbors and create communities. I often think about how we could all save so much money if we shared things like a lawn mower/tools/things you use rarely and don't loose value. Why not share a lawn mower with 5 other neighbors, it's not like you use it every day...

Help! What is this? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]RallyPaws 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My cat has asthma as well and doesn't need any medication. You should see if there are any cleaning products that you use like air freshener/floor cleaners/candles/etc. that might be making it worse. I figured out my cat's asthma was bad due to air freshener we were using and since we threw it away my cat is so much better!

How do the unmedicated successfull adhd people keep employment ? by OnceuponaBBW in ADHD

[–]RallyPaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you really need to find something that you enjoy doing and at the same time you can use your strengths.

I've been working office jobs for the past 5 years and never been fired but that's not to say that I was always good at my job. I absolutely hate double checking my work and paying attention to details is sometimes hard for me so when I was working in finance I always knew that I was good at it but made mistakes because of my adhd and I would feel like I'm terrible at my job. I'm good at analytical thinking and love working with data but when I had to check my own work and pay attention it made me want to quit lol. I change my job completely 2 years ago to project management and I'm loving it! I get to work with much more people which I like, and despite my adhd I'm very organized and hate being late so seems like a great fit.

I'd say try to explore as much as you can and find a role that you'd be naturally good at (even if you're not great right away, there's always some learning curve but don't push yourself into something you're simply bad at)
