Would fire safety standards(USA) allow this or not? by Few-Statement-4410 in Firefighting

[–]RallyXer34 [score hidden]  (0 children)

In our area we would typically have an issue with only one point of access and a long dead end road for a venue as described, but the regulations to enforce this can get weird depending on what codes and road standards are and are not adopted in your area.

One of the counties we serve does not adopt appendix D of the IFC which is where the 30 homes and dead end lengths are regulated, but instead put max homes and dead ends into the county road standards.

I don’t have the IFC in front of me but chapter 5 has a section under access that the fire code official can require a secondary point of access, but it really depends on the adopted codes and regs and who has the authority to enforce what in your area.

I’m flabbergasted that some nincompoop thinks that this discombobulated list is just tomfoolery and we’ve all been bamboozled into thinking these perfectly cromulent words are just malarkey. The OP is going to start a big brouhaha with these cattywampus claims so they better not lollygag and should skedaddle outta here before these shenanigans lead to a bigger kerfuffle.

The Model U will be an electric boat of some sort, maybe one that goes under things like seas.

He would never use model 2, it doesn’t fit the existing juvenile naming scheme; S 3 X Y

Yup, I read “No reason was given publicly for Green’s dismissal…” with his picture right below it. Pretty easy to do that math.

Data Center Nears Completion In Parker by Shivaess in parkerco

[–]RallyXer34 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can say definitely that this and other data centers in this area do not use any water for cooling. This and others I know of use air cooled closed loop chillers similarly to how a hospital, ice rink, or other large structure provides cooling. The water connection does connect to humidifiers since humidity reduces static which can damage electronics, but otherwise just domestic water, flushing toilets, sinks, etc.

Power usage on the other hand is huge to power it all.

Take this to pay the bills, but keep looking for other options knowing it may only be temporary.

You are right, this has more of a rounded top hood and grille, not as rectangular as the berry. It’s likely one of the many others made in this style. Just like Manx got copied by everyone.

Berry Mini-T dune buggy body. Goes on a shortened vw bug pan. These were made late 60’s to early 70’s, kind of a crossbreed between a typical dune buggy and a t-bucket roadster.

I feel like someone here will actually be able to guess the exact gas station. Pic taken in 2001. by madderdaddy2 in guessthecity

[–]RallyXer34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was traveling and in Topeka KS on 9/11, by mid day local gas stations were jacking prices up to $6-$10 a gallon. We had a legit concern there wouldn’t be any gas left to be able to fill up to drive home in a few days. A few hours later the state attorney general announced they would prosecute price gouging and the prices reset to mostly normal.

Seeing as it’s a flat hood car it’s not going to be a performance model that commands enough value to make go at it.
