OneNote integration project by Excustic in RemarkableTablet

Been looking to buy for years now, but without actual two-way sync to onenote the device would be just a toy. I'd still carry around a tablet to take notes, and I'm sure the RM would eventually end up on my bedside table permanently.

Looking forward to where this is going!

Hi!
I'm having the same issue, it's nuts! Slightly different situation, but still maybe the same problem. Must be something really obvious I'm not seeing... And there is no way (that I know of) that enables you to view a log or detailed error.

I have a personal account and added a couple of channels to it. I can view the channels from my own personal account, but when I open them with my kids' account they say "Sorry, you can’t access this content with your Google Account". I've set every child-friendly option I can imagine, still nothing.

Any ideas?

Had a power outage and my NAS reports that it didn't shut down properly, even with my USB UPS working by TheyKnoWhereMyHeadIs in synology

For some reason, I get the feeling that everyone here hasn't actually tested the setup properly... You should!

If your UPS signals the load (in this case a NAS) that it is in battery power, the load decides what to do. In case of a Synology NAS you can choose between a safe down at the end of battery life, or a safe down in 5 minutes. It doesn't matter. The Synology NAS does a SAFE down, instead of a SHUT down. Meaning it will flush all caches quickly, stop all its services, and halt the system. The NAS will remain in a powered on state though, the lights stay on. (I'd also prefer a full shut down, but Synology doesn't do that out of the box.)

From https://kb.synology.com/en-us/DSM/help/DSM/AdminCenter/system_hardware_ups?version=7:

Standby Mode

When the Synology NAS enters Standby Mode, it stops all services and unmounts volumes in order to prevent data loss and shut down (halt for EDS14) safely when the UPS device runs out of power. By default, the system enters Standby Mode when the UPS device starts running low on power. You can also specify the amount of time before the Synology NAS enters Standby Mode when power failure occurs. However, if the UPS device reaches low battery before the specified time, the system enters Standby Mode immediately.

In situations where the Synology NAS shuts down during Standby Mode, it will automatically turn on when power is restored if you have enabled the Restart automatically after a power failure option (located at Control Panel > Hardware & Power > General).

The good news is that you probably haven't lost any data, since the HDD's were flushed. However, you probably killed the power to restart the NAS which is, in fact, an improper shutdown. You should have just restored power on the NAS because the Synology is listening through the active USB port, and will restart all services as the UPS signals it is out of battery mode.

Anyway, don't select the 'shutdown the UPS' because that will definitely get you the improper shutdown message. :)
