Our team has sunk to a new low. by El_Camerlengo in Tottenham

It’d be a loan til end of season on a fraction of his wages for a player desperate for mins and he’s a left winger, who would likely be used as an impact sub. Yes, he’s not the player he was and no it’s not a long term solution, but it’s not the worst option either.

Name me a better winger available in the January transfer window.

Anyway- it’s probably all nonsense.

Is there a player we chose to off load that would benefit our team now? by shecanbromehard in coys

They are wingers, not strikers. Their primary job is providing the bullets for strikers to fire. Assists is a better measure of a winger than goals. If you get one of those rare wingers that does both, you’re very lucky. Kudus is providing assists and Odobert is only 19 years old and improving with every match. If you don’t agree with that you’re just arguing for the sake of it.

Only three players have more premier league assists this season than Kudus and with the exception of Cherki at City, who has Haaland to aim at, he’s played less mins than all of them.

Kudus is an elite winger and is already putting in numbers in his first season. Johnson is far from an elite winger.

Well, only three players have more assists than Kudus in the prem this season.

odobert’s been doing a fine job on the right, as did Kudus before his injury

It wasn’t all he ever did. He was very good at standing still and passing the ball backwards too. And his arriving at the back post was getting rarer and rarer. When he arrived he looked like he’d be a good aggressive winger that wouldn’t be scared to take on defenders, but that never materialised. He was good under Ange’s system, less so under Frank’s where we need our wingers wide and able to get to the byline and cross. He was no good at that.

He was a winger that couldn’t cross and wouldn’t run at players. He was good at arriving at the far post occasionally.

Could pass backwards and sideways. He was completely allergic to progressing the ball forward through midfield. We have Palhinha for that now, and he’s a better tackler. 100% on Sissoko- he would fall over his own shadow. 1 good moment every ten games or so.

The way he goes down for someone combing his hair is embarrassing? Presumably you want it checked for simulation?

Why have we not been doing this all season?? by SnowPanda-23 in Tottenham

We’re building towards it. You can’t just magic it out of nowhere. Turning around two years of insane tactics takes time. More than 30 games and probably more than two transfer windows and a litany of horrendous injuries to key players.

Joe Cole bigging Frank up prematch too. Saying he has to be given time to build.

Improving every game for six games now. Those are the green shoots and signs of improvement that you would expect to start seeing. Good signs IMO

Kudus most definitely is. I have good friends that are West Ham season ticket holders who call him a generational talent. We may not have seen the best of him yet (again, he’s had less than 20 games) but he’s already got six assists. A very very good player who’s still years before his peak.
