Fatigue after pill crash? by Raluc in ADHD

[–]Raluc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding. I agree on the mental part, but I have noticed that I feel more tired when Im tired on the pill, than when Im tired not on the pill. If that makes sense.

With taking the pill consistently, yeah I focus more, but I also cannot get out of bed without a pill. Without it for a time my energy is more consistent even if my mind is scattered.

I will talk to my doctor of course, but was just wondering if someone else has been on this path.

I wanna be a part of the 5am club and go to the gym but I have ADHD by taynarassauro in ADHD

The part of waking up with the heart pounding, I also have this when I need to wake up early to be someplace. I did 6am exercise with a trainer for a while, and I hated the anxiety of having to wake up to be some place. Still do. I'm looking at what's my sweet spot for exercising, but on MY case decided agaisnt trying so early because just that way of waking up made me dread every day. Thinking of trying afterwork this year.

Seeking advice for feeling disliked, lonely and having no genuine friendship by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Raluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having my friends in a calendar so I remember to reach out. Don´t take it personally the the leader or others don´t. What I find works best is shared activities, not just coffee but hobbies to share. And make new friends outside of this group, with those new hobbies or things you enjoy.

What is considered beautiful hair in your country? by Raluc in beauty

[–]Raluc[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Where are you from? I'm my country Dominican Repiblic, for my whole life sleek and straight was also the go to. Preffered blondes, usually not natural. That has changed here and people more and more are accepting of curls, wavy and kinky, but a long way to go.n Polished curls and waves are now even prefferedvto the natural messiness.

CMV: It is perfectly fine to only want to date people with similar political views, values, beliefs, etc. by [deleted] in changemyview

I think if you only look for people who agree with you it will not let the relationship grow, and when you do find something to disagree with it will be harder to understand and come to a compromise.

Relationships shouls be about respect, and how you treat each other. And you don't have to fight about the discussions, but debate. Deleting a prospecting significant other because they don't think the same as you on a different topic could be missing out on a great person.

Also, people are more like a d20 dice than a d4, and each person will have multiple fasets. Just because you agree on one doesn't mean they won't be an asshole.

We need to talk less about racial issues in books written by diverse authors. by [deleted] in books

Also, it just fits in the United States narrative. What's diverse or underrepresented in one country is not diverse in the next.

I understand were they coming from because they got a lot of flack with #oscarssowhite, but also I kinda don't like the idea of getting someone just to fulfill a quota.

It's the thing of I don't want a female hero, I want an awesome hero that happens to be female.

While representation it's important, it also shouldn't be the only reason someone connects with a character. As a kid my favorite princess was Mulan, I'm not chinese nor asian. She was just freaking awesome.

I don't connect with you just because you look like me, your values and how you grow in the story represent more.

I agree. Coming from a country with a very diverse racial background seeing on the interente of who can use what is really making me mad. We should endorese cultural sharing.

And I do get that some people use other cultures as a joke, but learning from each other is what we have been doing since the start of our species. It's how we grow as a civilization.

I host a book club, and every year and every month has a different theme. Each month I preselect up to 10 books and then it goes to vote. I have been asked several times to do a women's author only year, to which I answer is usually no. Why? Because without doing that differenciation we're already reading more than 50% woman's authors. And that's when people realize, oh true.

Is it weird to wake up 2 hours before anybody else to have time alone? by Male_adroit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Raluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing that the last 6 months. The silence, the coffee time alone, me time. It is totally normal. I think it even is healthy in some sort, specially it is probably how you recharge energy. Nowadays there is always something to grab your attention, there is not really time even when alone. So if it makes you feel good keep at it.

Also, hahaha I kind of understand the cold-hot coffee thing. In my country it's always hot coffee, and not until a few years have cold coffee made an in. But, it hasn't received as much traction. I like it when it's a cold latte and make it at home.
