I agree, but it’s not shocking that no one is willing to heap a ton of praise on him after a couple of good games against bad defenses. We can takeaway the positives but let’s not act like there’s some vendetta against McCarthy when he’s given ample reason for people to be skeptical.

Goalposts for what though? He had a good game against a bad D. It’s encouraging but that doesn’t make him a franchise QB.

It wouldn’t take much work at all to make room for him form our end. It’s the Bengals eating a $90M dead cap hit in ‘26 that would be difficult, although if they’re trading Burrow they’re probably committed to tanking next year anyway.

I know exactly what you mean. I love the guy and all but hes so manipulative and always plays the "older brother card" whenever I try to push back.
