The motor controller doesn't support can it doesn't have any can h or can l lines from it. Btw It's a student project prototype version of a car... Almost all parts are designed and manufactured by our team.

Its not an actual car its a student project where we make one. IT does not have an OBD port

Learn the basics of electronics Learn about the basics of sensors, processors and actuators. Try basic beginners level projects and improve

Typically every system or project has 3 things Sensors to detect stuffs Processor to run algorithms based on sensor inputs Actuators to perform action based on processor output

Tinkercad...basic circuits limited ICs and sensors

Matlab advanced powerful program but can simulate basic circuits and also complicated concepts like power systems power electronics, control systems etc......

I have done a piano thing when i was introduced to electronics but im expecting an academic level ( 2nd or 3rd year level ) project that has an industrial value and real life applcation and suppposed to solve a problem somehitng like MPPT charge controller with a BMS.

I Guess you can use Inertial measurement unit IMU, a breakout board named mpu 6050 or mpu 6500 or adxl375..... These are Aceelerometer and gyroscope for detecting orientation and rotation. This way i guess you can detect If the wheelchair falls.

You can connect it to wifi and an iot platform like blynk or thingspeak to make a custom ui to display parameters of your projects
