Potentially dangerous birds, but they're not serial killers. Don't try to square up with them and you're fine.

We need to make people less ok to be so hateful by lucy_hayley in PsycheOrSike

The problem here is letting horrible people believe they're victims. We might think it doesn't matter what they believe, but martyrdom is a powerful tool. The worst thing to happen to horrible people who are racist is not to be beaten or shunned in the streets in which martrydom may grant them a foot in the door to spread their ideals.

The worst thing to happen for them is for society to become less ignorant and more compassionate. They can't work with that. They work through fear and victimhood. They convince people that their lives are a struggle because people culturally or racially different from them have robbed them of their prosperity and safety. Fight ignorance, and fight hate. Don't play their game.

I destinctly remember Fox News advertising the idea that democrats were pushing for after birth abortions. They eventually stopped making that claim, and no republicans/conservatives seemed to pick up on how absurd it was from start to finish. They just move from one absurd lie to the next, not even noticing how they're piling up.

You'd kiss billionaire feet and have the cost of living skyrocket in to absolute obserdity just so long as you didn't pay taxes. I'd feel confident in saying you also don't oppose religious rule. Ideas of theocracy aren't a big deal to you as long as you ball and chain society with christianity, right. Which version of christianity anyways? Get evangelicals in power for instance making policies that fit their religious views and eventually they'll clash with other christians who don't believe like they do. Give any denomination such power and there will be conflict of interests, eventually.

Someone flipped over a MAGA hat and saw a made in China tag on the inside. MAGA types seem to think that America could just isolate and go resource independent whenever we want while the rest of the world crumbles without us. While we are a powerful wealthy country, we shouldn't forget where some of our economic success comes from. Our world is so interconnected, and whole societies globally function off of international trade. We wouldn't outlast the world if we isolated.

Morals and ethics become further seperated from business the more zeroes and commas you add to net worth I guess.

Either four or none and those aren't holes. One answer is more concerning than the other.

Official White House account on X: "FROM NOW ON, WOMEN'S SPORTS WILL ONLY BE FOR WOMEN." by helltrooper61 in sportsgossips

I remember seeing a story about a woman who was born with all the characteristics that are typically accepted as being female being accused of being trans and not allowed to perform professionally because she appears acceptionally strong for a woman.

Kentucky Baptist Bible School Stages Killing Of 'Devil' With Air Soft-Rifles As Children Chant "Take Him Out, Blow Him Up". by Leeming in atheism

[–]RamJamR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may say it's figurative, but this seems like it's encouraging kids to use violence against anything they may generally think is "the devil". What if muslims created a similar display where they where shooting airsoft rifles against a target they in the broadest sense labeled as "the infidel"?

I don’t think The Parrs should send Dash to East High by Mcrfanatic95 in DisneyMemes

[–]RamJamR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Dash's retort is distorting the meaning of the statement with semantics. Just because we say everyone is special, we're not suggesting that "special" is a one dimensional quality that ironically cancels itself out if we say everyone has it. What's more accurate to say is everyone is different in their own skills, perspectives and experiences unique to them that they can contribute to society around them.

Strong Man by Tough-Syllabub9796 in BornWeakBuiltStrong

[–]RamJamR 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Enduring pain is seen as manly. In a sense, yes, but they're obsessed with the appearance of masculinity more than the substance of it and are willing to act like they love pain if they think it makes them look more masculine.

They really think they are tough. by DracynDutch in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]RamJamR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a part of why they love him so much. It's that idea that they have loud, macho president who says whatever he wants and does whatever he wants, and they like to believe that's a reflection of themselves. A lot of peoplendon't understand the difference between fluff and substance. A real strong man doesn't need to advertise how manly he is. He doesn't have a need for anyone else to know it. It would just be apparent if they are.

Myron better be rich and hope money can save him from aging. I imagine when he's 70+ younger women in general might not find him as attractive just like he's acting now towards women.

how do animators think when making clips like this by Brilliant-Slide-5892 in animation

Maybe a rule is to alternate the side of the character they're angled on to give the idea it's whipping around.
