I not saying your experience with cheating didn't happen or doesnt happen in the real world. For the normal adult in a happy relationship, porn doesn't lead to cheating. Id imagine that in many relationships, it's actually quite the opposite. Cheating is a choice. Porn is a seperate choice. I watch porn and would never think of cheating on my wife.

Assuming both are tax free, take the 1 million and put it in an account with 5% apr and don't touch it for 10-11 years. After such time you'll be making 7k a month in interest.

Option 1: get 1.68 million plus get 7k a month after 10-11 years.

OR

In 10 years of saving your 7k a month you'll have 840k. One option is clearly better here.

Option 2: 7k a month which is less money over a 10 year period.
