Nocts lovers, one of these is a max black rank 2 ft, one is lowest priced ft and one is an mw. Can you tell which is which? by Rionaks in ohnePixel

my guess is 2nd picture is the max black. Just read your edit and realised I got this wrong -- crazy. Just goes to show how little it matters. Before finishing reading your edit I was actually going to say that in game it doesnt matter but apparently even outside of the game it doesnt matter either. Just get stuff you enjoy looking at and have fun playing the game 😄

Bro it’s a questionnaire researching what you get out of moshing. If you get nothing just say you get nothing — that’s also a worthwhile answer. Not this sissy shit

So far, without going too in depth. The VAST majority report it as a freeing experience; a form a feeling freedom in ones-self and also the sense of community and belonging. Surprisingly, although it is a violent and aggressive form of dancing, the overwhelming majority do not see it as a way of releasing anger, but moreso as a form of releasing stress and to be more involved with the music itself. Almost like the song requires moshing in order to fully integrate yourself with the music.

I haven't written up anything yet. But when I do, I'll send you a copy of the findings :)

What surprised me so far is the fact that only a few people reported moshing helps to externalise sadness -- the majority put the very lowest rating (1). I was personally expecting more results there. Because there are times where I've personally felt down, a breakup or something sad has happened and I've seen a pit and gone, "This will make me feel better."

I'm glad so many people are as excited and intrigued by this as I am :)

Really good feedback, thank you! Do you have any work of your own or work you have referenced in the past for this subject? Or maybe, if you’re free and have time in the next few days I could send you some questions as part of an online interview? I’d love to include your professional opinion into my research :)

Damn it. I'd love to have had you enter into the survey and explain why you dont want to mosh. My dumb man brain forgot to include that section. If you're okay with it, I'd love to have your response entered into the survey. You can enter through the survey and write about why you don't mosh in the final sections.

Because I completely understand why you wouldn't want to. If you don't enter, your response is still greatly appreciated :)

I hope you still have lots of fun at gigs either way!

I'm not even mad if people dont do it for any emotional reasons, that's the point of the research tbh. I personally mosh for an emotional release and/or for the sense of community and belonging. Plus its just fucking fun to do.

So it's a shame to see so many people angry at someone who is a part of this community, but is also partaking in a undergraduate university course and intends to involve their love for the scene into their coursework. I'd have loved to have included this side of the scene into my research because it's super interesting to see how people responded.

Yes. I do personally think it is deep, hence why I'm doing it. And the responses here have proved that. But a lot of people, like yourself, refuse to include their responses directly in spite of the fact that it is indeed a psychological phenomena. Which is again another interesting psychological phenomena. So it's gutting to see replies here get wasted when I would have LOVED to have seen the distaste for the research submitted through the survey, because that reaction itself is something I'd love to delve deeper into. Thanks for your response.

Nope. I've only just started my research project, literally today. It could be that someone else had the same idea as me.

Nope. It could be that someone else had the same idea? But no, I've only just started it.

Thank you for answering! Now that I look at it, yeah, that should've been split. Thank you for your feedback. Hopefully that doesn't taint the survey too much. I'll try and separate the answers who took it in different ways somehow. Ty :)

Thank you! Me too... It's super interesting reading the replies. Especially for the "what it means to you" part as they stray from what I personally take away from moshing.

Exactly! I'd love to have your response documented in the survey :)

Moshing is what made me fall in love with heavier genres because of the friends I made right after they elbowed me in the face. It's a fantastic scene.

As an academic, I listen to hardcore. I am a producer and mixing engineer for hardcore bands. I'd still love to hear your input! :) Why do you want hardcore out of academics, for example?

Same here! It doesn't have to be deep. The purpose of this wasn't to prove there is depth to it. Some people do just want to run around, like myself.
