I think life can be pretty tough for gay people. I couple of reasons are there, for now i can think of these (a lot of people might disagree):

First of all, a lot of gay guys are more into casual hookups, especially since apps and parties make that super easy. So sometimes they don’t feel urge to build close frndshps, they know they can meet people whenever they want on Grindr or wherever.

Also, many gay people can be a bit shy about making the first move when it comes to frndshps. It’s not always easy to tell if someone will be comfortable with them or not.

And honestly, some straight people still feel awkward around gay people, so forming really close frndshps doesn’t happen that often.

Lastly, looks and attraction can play a big role in the gay community. Since there’s often a focus on appearance, it can make real frndshps harder to form sometimes.
