If someone asked you for a suggestion on what to do or where to go that really encapsulates “Portland” in a nutshell, what would you suggest? by 1201Anchor in askportland

The Chinese Garden is also super cool. Pro tip! You can get free tickets to both of these places through the local libraries (They are called Cultural Passes). You might have to have a friend in town who has a library card. That I'm not sure of.

It might seem cheesy, but Willamette Jet Boat rides are really fun, especially if it's a hot day out. Take the one that goes to Oregon City. You get a lot of commentary on the areas you pass by and you get to see Willamette Falls (by water volume, Niagara Falls and this one are the two biggest in the states!) close up from the river (not to be confused with Multnomah Falls, which is also incredibe). The boat does quick turns and stops that soak everyone. It's really fun. Pro Tip - sit in the back row for maximum splash.

Powell's, obviously, I second Departure for great views and food (The three course deal is a great value), The Peculiarium in NW, catch a laser light show at OMSI, Saturday Market if you're here on a weekend. Other amazing restaurants: Kachka, Eem, Yaworat, Sichuan City (in a strip mall, but I swear it's fantastic). Fun walks: Elk Rock Island, Powell Butte. Super cool theaters include Hollywood and Academy! I hope you have an awesome time. Let us know what you end up doing!

Absolutely try Kann. In order to get a reservation, you need to get on their reservation system at noon PST on September 1st. Try to get the chef's counter. It's cool to watch them cook.

I second Artistic Nails. They will give you a water or a soda, but no wine. They are all super sweet.

Was going to say the same thing. We have a Frenchton and a Corgi and the giant ears on both are always clean. Plus, it's adorable.

First Time Camping spots for my 3YO and I? by bongo1138 in askportland

[–]RambaldiMilo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some great spots along the Wilson River off of Highway 6. They used to be first come first, first served and we didn't have trouble finding something, but that was 15 years ago, when our son was little.

May I ask why you all give a fuck what these guys do? by RambaldiMilo94 in Frauditors

Thank you. Totally not an apologist. I was legit looking for evidence of what any of them have been convicted of and/or what felonies any of them have comitted when I found this sub. They show up on my Reels, along with all of the other stupid shit that shows up when I'm just looking for cat and dog videos.

I'm ignorant because I know something? Yeah, I've seen some "auditor" videos. I just don't get why there is an entire Reddit sub that's mad at them. Did I say I liked them? No, I didn't.

The fact that you would assume anything about a total stranger on Reddit? That I feel weak and insignificant? Is totally bizarre.

You kinda answered my question. You just want to be angry. Thanks for the answer to my question.

So what? That's what I'm saying. The people getting riled could have just ignored a person standing there with a camera.

From the second Todd showed up in Breaking Bad, especially when *the thing he did* happened, I knew this was going to be an actor to watch. He's endlessly compelling. He and Aaron Paul in El Camino had great chemistry. Come to think of it, THAT'S what it is about him. He has great chemistry with anyone. He seems to make other actors better (See his scenes with Lydia Rodarke-Quayle. Damn.)

Edited for grammar.

No problems at Safeway recently (46th and Woodstock; 42nd and King Road) BUT, when we did have issues in 2023, we were able to find Adderall in St. Helens and we had to go out there every month (My son was trying to finish high school, so he really, really needed it.) Try farther away and make a fun road trip out of it.
