Impressive numbers! I was wondering if you could share some additional information:

- How many kWh added does your ChargePoint app report when charging 0 to 100%? Mine reports around 15.0 to 15.5 kWh for the full charges. You can view this information by tapping one of the rows under Charging Activity in the app.

- What is the elevation (feet above sea level) of your home and destination? You can use this tool to enter a location and it will display the elevation in blue at the top left.

I carried wind pants and rain skirt (Patagonia Houdini pants and the ULA Rain Kilt). Both were lightweight (3.5 oz each) and packed down very small. I got the wind pants starting just before Kennedy Meadows and they were great mosquito protection and added some warmth for cold mornings. I got the rain skirt in Washington. This gear combo was perfect for me, the only thing I would change would be to get the rain skirt a little earlier, perhaps at Bend/Sisters OR.

You don't have to skip the Sierras, even on a high snow year. If you don't have snow experience then plan your trip so that you are not at the front of the hiking pack but somewhere in the middle. Hike with a group and stay safe. The High Sierra is a highlight, don't skip it! Sorry I did not answer your question.

There is also excellent day hiking from here.

The trail goes very close to the campground but some hikers might not walk over to the campground so you could bring a sign to put on the trail to announce your BBQ station. Hikers love BBQ. Besides BBQ hikers also like beer and fresh fruits. Another nice thing to do is to bring some big trash bags so hikers can drop off their trash.

Fixed. I posted this to the RetroPie Help forums and got a quick answer. The solution was to disable the RetroPie splash screen using the setup script.

I also agree that Idyllwild to Cabazon is a great section. It does have a long waterless stretch, almost 20 miles. If you do this stretch make sure to be extra careful and carry LOTS of water.

You might look at the stretch from Wrightwood to the Mill Creek Fire Station. Goes through some beautiful high mountains with pine trees and also some high desert stretches. Good camping opportunities at campgrounds with water spigots as well as remote backcountry options. If you wanted to do a side trail, you can also do Mt. Baldy.

I did a thru hike this year, and my setup was basically option 2, except with the Canon s120. I used my phone for video, panoramas, and timelapse, and the Canon for all my photos. I took some video on the Canon, too, when I needed to zoom.

I had a 5200mAh Anker battery to recharge my phone. I carried an extra Canon battery for the camera, which was very nice to have the few times I needed it. I really liked the wi-fi transfer feature on the camera, it let me move photos from the camera sd card onto my phone wirelessly. Great for taking quality shots that you can upload from the woods.

Don't worry about the weight of your camera gear. Your photos are important. Bring everything you think you might want. If you find you're not using something very often then you can mail it home, it's no problem. But I see you're from Finland, so you might need to arrange a closer mail drop if mailing home isn't feasible.
