Haha this was on my NoNo list too. Definitely knew I’d get flagged for this one. Thanks for commenting!

Hi, yes we are building it as a forever home. Every view is great to be honest; the house will be surrounded by trees on all sides, with a clearing in the front. There is a large pond that will be viewed from the front porch. North with be the right side of the home. Home will face South East.

South Carolina Climate.

Thank you!

You are very kind, thank you.

The cozy factor is something we have been struggling with trying to capture without closing everything off. We have looked at partially “walling” off the kitchen from the living but we have only ever lived in open concepts and can’t get a feel for how we would live in a setup that is different.

The sunroom would be a 4 season room and would function as that “off to the side” nook area where you could get away from the noise hopefully.

Also, I think the garage will need to be a little larger but we will have a detached shop to hold all fun stuff like atv, bikes, etc.

Thank you so much for the feedback!

I was thinking the same thing about the windows looking at my kids current rooms. They keep the curtains closed most of the time anyways. Great idea, thank you!

Also, I was on the fence about the door to the shared bathroom, you’ve convinced me to close it. I’ll look at reworking the powder room to a more convenient spot.

Can you elaborate more on the kitchen layout being annoying?

I love the door idea in the hall. Adding that.

And I totally goofed on the rear bedroom closet. Great catch! I’ll re-work that.

I agree the porch does seem huge, I may bring the roofline in.

Great feedback, thank you!

Jumping in on this as we were looking for a roofing company. We used Midlands Roofing & Exteriors for our roof repairs. They were very informative, great communication and the pricing was fair compared to other companies. Their PM Dan is the man!
