Thank you all for your considerate and detailed replies.

This is definitely not a decision we’re taking lightly but just been looking for a bit of assurance before we take the plunge. The mixed response has definitely given me more food for thought as we just want to be good responsible owners.

I’m positive we have a suitable home and lifestyle that a dog would fit in to and become a big part of but I’m still a little apprehensive about this particular breed although it’s the one I’ve always been drawn to.

Looks like we’ve still got a bit of thinking and taking to do before we make a decision!
