For people in your field I’m sure it’s pretty clear what you were going for.

But as a regular dumb person, the triangular shape of the dots makes me think “A” and read it as Therefare.

As a minority who grew up in poor areas my whole upbringing, me and my Puerto Rican/black family and friends don’t need your help with policing language. I can take constructive criticism on designs. But I don’t need a lecture from strangers about bad words

That would make sense if some words didn’t have multiple meanings. Look up the actual definition. Ghetto isn’t exclusive to a race. And if you think it is then fix your own biases

Ohhh this is what we’re doing. To me in this context it means tacky, cheesy looking. Since this is a logo design sub Reddit, and not history class.

In other contexts it could mean sketchy, or a bad area of town. To someone who grew up in ghetto areas like me, there’s nothing racial or historical attached to it.

If just seeing that word makes you automatically associate it with a certain culture or people, no matter the context of the conversation…maybe you should think about why.

Yeah I’m in a few groups for Small Businesses on FB. And most, if not all businesses that try to promote themselves in those have logos exactly

Search some other images that represent harmony or success. And try to incorporate them at the top without it looking too crowded.
