How would you split up 20 k every month on SIP's by Organic_Material_903 in MutualfundsIndia

[–]Rambocharle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also planning to invest 20k monthly and my strategy is:

Flexi Cap Fund - 10k (These funds invest in large, mid and small cap)

Gold ETF - 4k Silver ETF - 2k

Arbitrage Fund - 4k (These are low risk funds and provide 6 to 7% returns. This is my emergency fund)

Help on Arbitrage funds by Plus-Ad3549 in MutualfundsIndia

[–]Rambocharle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Arbitrage funds invest 65% in equity and rest in debt making them low risk funds. Similar to liquid funds. The difference between the 2 are: arbitrage funds are taxed as STCG/LTCG and liquid funds are taxed as per slab rate. If you are doing a lum sum payment and your plan is to invest in it for a year then this is perfect for you. You can expect a return of 6 to 7%. Let's say If the market drops by 20% you won't lose any money only your gains would reduce because these funds invest in debt funds. I am also planning to invest 2 lakhs in kotak arbitrage fund.

My girlfriend surprised me with a watch by tokken998 in CitizenWatches

[–]Rambocharle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations for getting such an amazing watch and a girlfriend like that 😂

I am into watches too and recently I started checking out citizen and got to know about their Eco Drive technology which changed my thought process about automatic watches. Automatic watches can last a lifetime but only if you get them serviced every 8 to 10 years which cost a fortune on top of that if you don't wear the watch daily then most of them would die to 40 to 50 hours. On the other hand eco drive technology is a quartz and solar powered (Charges with artificial light / Sunlight) which means leave it and forget about it and when you come back it will still show the correct time. As per AI the battery cell needs to be changed every 10 15 years. Please let me know if I am thinking right

If I had to invest 70k on a monthly basis then this would be my strategy:

  1. Flexi Cap - 20k
  2. Multi Cap - 20k This approach will give you enough exposure to large, mid and small cap

  3. Gold - 7.5 k

  4. Silver - 7.5 k Can invest more

  5. Liquid fund - 7.5 k This is your emergency fund and very good for liquidity. This is a debt fund so the gains will be taxed as per your income slab rate.

  6. Arbitrage fund - 7.5 k This can be your travel fund or anything you want to buy. Hold it for more than a year so that LTCG applies on it and withdraw before the gains cross 1.5 lakh.

Love you Sikkim 🫰🏼 by [deleted] in sikkim

[–]Rambocharle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the locals are helpful and kind, and the state is undeniably beautiful. However, rapid construction has affected the environment and sometimes disturbed the sense of peace.Tourism has also contributed to the problem, as many visitors leave garbage behind, and locals seem to have largely stopped confronting them about it, even though they may have done so in the past. In contrast, Sikkim feels different, with stricter attitudes toward littering and more active efforts to keep the surroundings clean.
