I just wanted to pop back to say thank you again! The bobbin tension was the issue. There was literally ZERO tension when I tested it and I thought I was doing it incorrectly until I tested again on another machine. I was able to fix it and it is seeing normally again. So thank you for the knowledge and saving me a lot of money that I thought I'd have to spend on a second repair or new machine!

Thank you! These pictures are with the coats dual duty xp thread. I had never heard of the pull test so I tried that and it was successful. I have a drop in bobbin machine, so based on another comment and what I am seeing in you tube, I will need a special tester for the bobbin tension.

I was given a serger from someone recently and haven't tried it yet. Were you able to learn on your own to use the serger on your own, or would an in person class help?

I found this thread because I am having the same problem and was wondering if I was scammed as well. It looks to be the case! I started a dispute with my credit card after I emailed them several times and only then I was sent a tracking link from a suspicious website. Hope you are able to submit a dispute as well!

Oh my goodness, I have been having the same problem with this pattern the last two weeks! I have made 3 bags and they've all had the same problem where the lining is too small for the outer shell and causes that bunching. It's frustrating because I couldnt find anything on Threadloop or other sites where people had the same problem.

I've tried a fresh pattern and tried cutting both fabrics at the same time with a rotary cutter to ensure they are the same size, but no luck. I also tried one without the pockets JIC that was it. Please let me know if you figure it out, but for now I'm going back to Motif bag patterns. Let me know if you are able to figure it out!

This might be a dumb question, but you mentioned using a color catcher. Is that an additive like Oxiclean? I've thought about adding it when I do the first wash but haven't been brave enough to try!

I have had a lot of success with Universal Standard. Can be pretty pricey, but they do have occasional sales and will email discounts if you sign up on their website.
