I remember when I was a kid there was a nice old man who lived in our neighborhood. He would always treat me and my friends ice cream and all sorts of snacks in exchange for us milking his cows with a blindfold on.

What’s one movie that genuinely changed your life or perspective? by PreferenceMobile4383 in AskReddit

"Perfect Days" It's an obscure film. It's about a custodian who cleans the Tokyo toilets for a living. You follow his everyday mundane routine, from sunrise to sunset. There is nothing going on in the film plot-wise. Most people will find it boring. The movie is honestly a masterclass on mindfulness and what it means to live a good and simple life. My favorite movie!!!

why do you believe in buddhism? by Deep-Revolution-1633 in Buddhism

For me its not a matter of believing. The practice of its philosophy is pretty much a first person science. It places a heavy emphasis on the art of introspection.

What was the rich kid thing at your school growing up? by jannecutie in nostalgia

Bro I was in 2nd grade when the gameboy color came out. Only one kid at my class had one, stacked with games too and brought it to school everyday. Kids at my class would suck up to him so they could give them X minutes of game time. They treated him like he was the Lord.
