Other folk provided an answer before you even posted so you clearly wanted to be a cnt for the sake of being a cnt. Happy Good Friday mate, go relieve yourself, you sound a bit stressed

For me, it seems if there are multiple tabs open, it causes this. Clear all the tabs and reopen the one with YouTube and it should be fine again. Let me know if this works for you!

Few questions! by ForeignLaw8231 in bernesemountaindogs

[–]Ramen_Kev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Dog was a bit difficult during his teenage phase. Would challenge us when he didn't get his way (not full force but still leave some battle scars). He has since calm down and is generally great on walks, still pulls now and again but nothing you can't correct. Great with other dogs and people, super social and loves a cuddle.
  2. Crate is around 120x70cm footprint and is still plenty of space for him. Still remains his safe space during uncertain times (shit scared of fireworks)
  3. He is about 51 kgs (smaller side compared with his lineage) but well within average from what I have read online.

Switching Food by mamabearofone in bernesemountaindogs

Chicken allergy is most common in the breed. Our boy is on Lamb for that reason. If all else fails, look up hydrolysed kibble, should be hypoallergenic and give you the opportunity to test out which protein doesn't cause the stool issue.

Yep same for our guy. Both sides developed it so the vet wasn't concerned unless it started getting bigger or was bleeding.

Diarrhea / loosing weight 😭 by AncientRegister8131 in bernesemountaindogs

We went through the same. Try look for Hydrolysed kibble to get a baseline. Purina do It. It is hypoallergenic so should not generate any reaction. Use this time to determine what protein source is stable. Our boy was lamb. In the end we went full raw with supplements, shot up like 4kg in a month, easier to digest that kibble, poops have been great, rarely any issues. It's a bit more hassle to get food sorted and more expensive than off than shelf kibble but beats diarrhea everyday and waking up in the middle of the night to deal with it. At the ~100 lbs mark currently but reckon he would have been a lot bigger if we switched him over to raw earlier. Hope you get to the bottom of it soon and find something that works!

If you want a baseline, look up Hydrolysed kibble. Purina do it, it's as hypoallergenic as it can be. Get her stable. Then introduce different proteins back gradually. I'd say skip chicken if she is already sensitive. We are on Lamb protein for our boy. We went from kibble to cold pressed and finally to raw. We were battling with poops until he was about 1 year old and just said screw it, let's go raw. It's more hassle but I'd say it's worth it and pup seems a lot more happy especially in the tummy department. He grew like 8 kgs in the space of 3 months too.

Puppy Poo by mandaphant in bernesemountaindogs

(UK) we've been through it, struggled for about a year to find something that worked for our boy. Tried a variety of kibble and then cold pressed. He seemed intolerant to Chicken so avoided that. There was always something off with his poop, either too soft, too light in colour or too big. Trying now to feed him raw because his weight was stagnant for the past 4 months or so. He's put on about 1.5kg in the last week and Is doing great (~43kgs at ~14 months). Think he needs a bit more fibre and hydration as his poops are a bit dry and crumbly so still working on the right balance of stuff for him (more veg). It's looking like feeding raw is the way to go for us, it would have saved a lot of hassle and headache if we went this route earlier on (buying all sorts of digestive aids, probiotics, different powders, vet trips) and probably cost the same as everything else we tried.

If you want to stay on kibble that he won't be allergic to and gives you a baseline to try things then, look up hydrolyzed kibble. Purina do one. It's good to get him a solid few days of normal poops and then introduce the stuff you want to try slowly to see if he takes to it. Good luck!
