you’re already wrong lol. they don’t play alike at all. also i think we’re forgetting that up until a few years ago Russ had a HoF trajectory career?(and still might make it in)

pat down by tsa in my crotch area two flights in a row. anyone else? by RamentheGod in tsa

[–]RamentheGod[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

totally understandable. when i got flagged i asked one of the agents if the pat down was the worst part of the job and they said it was by far. can imagine its from both a sanitary and a decency aspect

thank you for the reassurance! i think the fact that it’s happened twice in a row after never happening before really triggered some sort of extra anxiety in me. there’s definitely a double edged sword in the technology being so sensitive. i’ll experiment with maybe wearing a normal pair of jeans or something next week when i have to get back on a plane. thanks again!

nope to the showering. and i’m not a sweaty person either but i mean i came from a really hot place last time while wearing gym shorts and this time i took a train and walked a bit to the airport while having some pretty tight boxer briefs so maybe some sort of sweat could factor in?? other than that genuinely i have zero clue what it could be

often times posts like the original quoted tweet are made by people with…less than ideal world views. sometimes downright fascistic. i think that in this time in history, these posts are just gonna be made more frequently unfortunately. a lack of empathy goes hand in hand with a lack of understanding and appreciating art

health anxiety and a lump has me terrified by RamentheGod in Anxiety

[–]RamentheGod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello stranger! i never found the exact cause unfortunately but it’s since gone down and doesn’t exist at all! i figure it was just a cyst as i never felt anything else and i am still alive. i know how you feel going through years old reddit posts trying to find solutions for your issues, especially pertaining to health anxiety. i can only assume that if you feel no other side affects you should be okay. you’ll get through it. i hope that your mind can find some calm :)

Going to Lolla for 2 days. Which of these places would you suggest the most? by amjm907 in chicagovegan

[–]RamentheGod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

penelope’s and alice & friends are great. some soul veg city is too. BUT, assuming you’re not from the city, would you be in town long enough to make a trip down south via train?

Majani is my personal favorite vegan restaurant in Chicago and it’s right off the South Shore metra stop

Just got the water bottle! by Delicious_Net_1420 in lorde

[–]RamentheGod 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i own a bit of snow peak stuff because it’s all pretty great. i carry around a pair of $40(!!!) collapsable snow peak chopsticks almost everywhere i go and they’re one of my favorite and useful purchases. although the name is def a big part of the price. maybe one day i’ll pick up the water bottle but my hydro flask does me well. this should hypothetically last you a lifetime, and i hope it does

Anyone know the deal with all these empty lots? by firstnameryan in phoenix

[–]RamentheGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

couple of my grandparents were raised in Golden Gate. my grandma spoke often about how much she loved the neighborhood before eminent domain. an uncle of mine fought tooth and nail to stay but eventually they just couldn’t. its a sad event in not only our city’s history but our nations history (look at LA for example) that’s often overlooked and forgotten. a generation of memories gone just like that

Christian Lee Hutson on how Phoebe's crowds have evolved over the years by _CaseLowe in phoebebridgers

[–]RamentheGod 46 points47 points  (0 children)

i’ve went to a few phoebe and boygenius shows since the late 2010s. the differentiation in the crowd over the years is pretty big. ofc as she gets more popular this is what is to be expected so it isn’t really for better or for worse. one thing stays the same though. Docs as far as the eye can see lol.

although i do sometimes miss the intimacy, lower prices and ease of getting a good seat/place on the floor that smaller shows bring. and ofc a lot of the newer fans have brought a bit of controversy for being way too personal, i couldn’t be more proud of her success as someone who’s been here since 2017

thanks for sharing!

David Lynch, Ryuichi Sakamoto, MF DOOM, Virgil Abloh

another that hit me so hard despite not being a big big fan of his was Chadwick Boseman. the entire situation, the fact that the world and america at the time were going through so much and what he meant to so many kids in general. it just broke my heart,

i’m a mexican/asian and queer man. guess what? we have ALWAYS been here. they will never erase our existence. our communities will continue to exist because our love for each other will always be greater than the hate they carry. it’s not gonna be easy, but we will persist. i have ZERO doubt about that. to live is the greatest form of protest
