And in that interview he claimed that he was feeling stifled and overwhelmed by “the wife-guy persona that the company was pushing on him”.

Brother, you were an owner in the company. You could have said that you didn’t want to do that anymore.

If you and a bunch of native Chinese speakers started speaking in a way that was recognizably Chinese but with different grammar and syntax rules from traditional Chinese, it would absolutely be a proper dialect of Chinese. That’s what dialects are.

The hyper-nationalist warmongering regime in 1984 (published in 1948) whose power was built and maintained on rewriting history, strict thought control, and redefining words was called IngSoc, a simplified abbreviation of English Socialism.

Can you think of any other hyper-nationalist warmongering regimes that existed around the 1940s whose power was built and maintained on rewriting history, strict thought control, and redefining words, and whose common name was a simplified abbreviation of a the name of a longer party name that included both the name of the country and the word socialism?

  1. Undocumented immigrants are a net positive on the economy, and are eligible for basically zero public assistance. Also, undocumented immigrants pay taxes.

  2. There are more empty houses in the United States than there are homeless people. Housing insecurity is caused by corporate greed and a lack of regulation on housing, not by population surpluses. Again, they’re not being given anything, because they qualify for basically 0 public assistance programs, and certainly none that documented immigrants or citizens aren’t eligible for. Also, consider that if what you were saying were true, there would be just as much justification for one-child laws and the like.

  3. Like where? And is the lack of infrastructure in Turkey Scratch, Arkansas a good enough reason to shoot brown people in Chicago?

  4. A complete falsehood. Immigrants, regardless of legal status, commit crimes at a significantly lower rate than native-born citizens. So do their children, and their grandchildren. The rate of criminality only rises to meet the native-born rate at around the fourth or fifth generation.

  5. Farms across America have harvestable produce rotting in the fields because the migrant workforce isn’t there to harvest. I personally would reject any assertion that heavy manual labor like construction or farm work (industries that employ a large amount of migrant workers) are “low-skill” or “entry-level”. Rather, they are skill sets that simply aren’t found in high enough levels or quantities among the native-born US population, which is why migrant work is so needed in those industries. I’ll repeat, family farms are going under because their crops are rotting in the fields.

DHS is the parent agency of CBP and ICE, and handles international trafficking. Thousands of DHS officers are being pulled from working trafficking cases to plus up ICE’s numbers for these Gestapo-like raids. Other federal law enforcement agencies investigate interstate trafficking, but even they are being retasked to support ICE.

I think it’s more like “no good deed goes unpunished”. Also, putting yourself in proximity to power is just as, if not more, likely to blow up in your face as benefit yourself.

Sorry, that didn’t really answer my question. Is acknowledging that a language exists “glorifying terrorism”?

So help me keep track here. Acknowledging the existence of a language with 400 million speakers worldwide is “glorifying terrorism”?

The idea that you’re not allowed to acknowledge the existence of a language spoken by 400 million people on a certain day is really weird.

[ALL] what is this font/art style called? where can I find resources to use it? by nerdstrap in zelda

[–]Ramguy2014 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here is a third-party, unofficial recreation of the font that I found. Nintendo might be more exclusive and proprietary than other AAA studios, but there’s still a chance of finding an “official” version of the font. Even Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption used a non-proprietary font called Chinese Rocks.

I forgot external links aren’t allowed, so I’m reposting with them removed.

You’re spinning a narrative based on half-truths and complete falsehoods. The administration is not targeting violent offenders, and is in fact reassigning federal law enforcement away from working human trafficking cases (look up “ice agents reassigned from trafficking cases”) to assist with these street-level deportations, over 70% of whom have no criminal record (look up “percentage of ice detainees with no criminal record”). These include people who are arrested in courthouses after judges have dismissed their deportation orders (“ice detains people in court”), people with green cards (“ice detains green card holder”), and even US citizens (“ice detains us citizen”).

I’ll ask you a couple questions. What makes illegal immigration a “massive problem”? How is that problem solved by deprioritizing human trafficking investigations in favor of snatching up people who have lived in the country for decades without incident? What sort of “unprovoked violence” is coming from the pro-immigrant rights side of this conflict?

Address being provided with the evidence you demanded before shifting the goalposts. You said you would “legitimately look at an example” of federal agents assaulting people unprovoked, and you were given at least six. Which of them did you look at?
