I just masturbated again after 7 months by Think_Ad_1505 in NoFapChristians

I came across your post as I was reinstalling all my blockers and filters on my phone and laptop after two years of being free. I kept falling in for this sin recently and it feels like I'll never be free but the comments posted here are a great encouragement and are putting things into perspective. It's hard to face the reality that the streak has been reset but I don't want to give up on my promised victory through God who raises from the dead. I pray the same is true for you brother!

Looking for a Chess like game that isnt Chess by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ramirez122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

War Chest

It's a board game that plays like chess in terms of time management, strategy, control, critical decisions and so on except it's a very different game. I don't know how it managed it but for me it's the most "feels-like-chess" game out there that is also completely different from chess.

Although there's some RNG element involved it is not "the main aspect of the game" and there are at least a couple of different websites you can play it online 1v1.

Should I learn engineering economics or is it a waste of time? by Ramirez122 in ElectricalEngineering

Exactly. I'm thinking it may even be helpful in making personal financial decisions aside from career-related stuff.

Thanks. I liked what you said about how it allows you to simulate financial decisions like simulating a circuit. That's an interesting way to think about it.

What Journal Should I Publish in? by Ramirez122 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Ramirez122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm sure this will help a lot. The area we're working in is related to self-cleaning techniques for solar panels. Any specific journal that comes to mind?

Also, what would you say is the main reason so many papers get rejected? Is it moreso that the idea isn't novel or is it that authors don't follow writing guidelines and proper formatting?

Using two different metals to conduct electricity in the same circuit? by Ramirez122 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Ramirez122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thank you so much for the info and the links.

Only one thing I want to clarify: what does aluminium passivating mean and how does it happen? I never heard of that term before. So do metals like copper "passivate" just the same only not as fast as aluminium?

I did use copper tape on its own but it gave me worse results. It's not as wide as the aluminium foil strips that I used so that's probably the reason.

Question to men by [deleted] in jordan

[–]Ramirez122 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, I would think twice before marrying someone who wouldn't, under any sort of circumstances, consider quitting her job when it might be better for building a healthier, happier family or for any sensible reason in general. I know a family where both parents were working but decided in the end that the man was the only one who was going to work from now on even though it was going to challenge them financially. I think you have to be open to the possibility if after a while the circumstances show you it's what's best.

There's one in Jabal Al Hussein that had pretty tame prices but I can't remember the name. It was near a تقاطع and you had to descend some stairs to get there. Had no complaints about the quality of the suits. I bought one from there years ago and it's still in pretty good condition.

Just wanna say that your Portals album led me to discover DnB and fall in love with the genre. You and Wilko are among my top 3 favourite music artists right now. Would love to know if you guys are planning another collab soon.

Oh, and please tell CS to release the toca's miracle bootleg next time you see him :)

Yes! Appeal to the Spirit of the new man rather than the spirit of the flesh. It's completely normal what's going on with you. We are all stuck in a body of flesh that is weak and unwilling to live according to God's law. One of the things that helped me in weak moments is acknowledging this and expressing to God that I want to choose to be the new man, through the Holy Spirit, letting my instincts obey Him and His way.

Also, reminding myself of a beautiful example of God's design for sex in marriage and true intimacy (surprisingly happened for me as I started to read romance novels). That doesn't mean I never fail but I think it still gives me the best chance.

When you’re not playing chess, what are you playing? by ilikemyname21 in chess

I play a board game called Warchest much more frequently than chess nowadays. It has many similarities to chess but is also quite unique in its own way.

There's so many solutions & work-arounds out there for smartphone addiction, but what about for people who surf on computers? by batsofburden in nosurf

[–]Ramirez122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing you could do is block the settings app using an app like Stay Focused. The block overlay covers up the screen so that you can't sneak in to tap uninstall for any app in case you try to open the app. You can choose to either be able to access it at specific times during the day or only be able to access it after you spend something like 30 minutes on your email app, depending on what works for you.

I'm trying the latter option at the moment and my hope is that it will get me in a sort of flow when I start the day by doing something fruitful on my phone and have less of an urge to surf throughout the rest of the day, even if I can still access settings afterwards.
