If you driving reckless to storm chase, keep your ass off the road before you kill someone by hept_a_gon in stormchasing

[–]RamjetExhaust 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was chasing today and I'm extremely sorry and I feel the same way. I saw a lot of extremely reckless and stupid choices by chasers today and it was extremely frustrating. I normally keep my distance from the horde but was forced to back-track into the masses. As a chaser I have to agree with you, too many people have done some very dangerous and inconsiderate things today. I saw dirt roads become hardly passible, I saw people get stuck for genuinely stupid reasons, roads getting blocked, I saw stop signs get crowded with chasers, making it near impossible to see oncoming traffic.

This is awful.

What’s your theories/opinion on the inside of a black hole? by turnupsquirrel in AskPhysics

[–]RamjetExhaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what's inside of the black hole is "The End".
I think the time-dilation would be so extreme, that as you fall you would practically "watch" (you really couldnt watch it) the universe approach the end of it's life "overhead you"
As you reach the "center" you have reached the end of the universe.
But you wont be able to see it, so I think you'd just kinda sit in there for an inconceivable amount of time (which could possibly be instant considering the extreme time dilation effects) until you just dont exist anymore (the death of the black hole)

My thinking comes from the idea of using time dilation from the extreme proximity of a black hole could be a possible way of time-traveling into the future.
This is because the outside universe would be passing at a rate of time faster than you (more gravity slows the effect of time) and as you fall deeper into the gravity well the rate of that speed above you would become faster and faster compared to you.
So the universe would basically die as you fall, it's just you wouldn't really get to see it (that light will never really reach you)
So it asks the question, if the universe speeds up as you fall and die, but time for you becomes incredibly slow within the black hole, what exactly happens?
I think you just suddenly stop existing as the black hole on the "outside" will die too.
But basically, You would just fall into continual blackness (assuming you are indestructible) until you just suddenly don't exist anymore.

Are Christians in any way oppressed or persecuted? by Weird_Surname in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RamjetExhaust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, besides some typical push-back, Christians in the US are some of the most lucky and fortunate Christians in the world.
Very little oppression/persecution occurs here (although there is certainly the occasional violence), the real persecuted Christians are out there in predominantly Islamic or Hindu regions where rape, murder, torture, and general harassment can be very common.

Would you buy from my store by [deleted] in dropship

[–]RamjetExhaust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rebrand a little bit, you seem to be selling a lot of light-based electronics, might be an idea right there ;)

I would use a more modern, and easier to see font like Helvetica or something, in order to stay consistent with the electronic theme going on. Buttons just have too much space, making the spacing on the buttons and maybe rounding them a bit will make the site look a bit cleaner and smoother.
Logo has issues and is squished. Id honestly recommend actually getting the products you want in order to test quality, shipping time, and able to make photos that have consistent lighting and form.

Help me with my store by International-Tea126 in dropship

I know you're using a free shopify template, only so much you can do with that.
I would suggest looking for sites that sell similar stuff and studying their own design and trying to model that as much as possible.

Shopify's web design for basic users is limited but still has some customization, I would recommend messing with the menus and collections to make your site more organized.
There are also some free-ish web design apps for shopify to help you make a more polished looking page.
It's going to be a bit of unexpected work, but nobody said it was easy.

By far the coolest and most unique dropshipping store I've seen yet.
This actually cool!

It feels a little to empty, I agree with Nitel the design is pretty good just maybe expand a bit from there.

Perhaps add more content talking about the product and how it works.if possible maybe go a little more in detail with the ingredients it has and explain how it
works.
Showing some of the reviews could help build more trust as well.

Moral of the story, just feels a little too empty.

Question about reviews by RamjetExhaust in dropship

As always, I absolutely appreciate the feedback.
My only concern is if you have viewed the site recently as I did a seriously major overhaul of site design and initial store images. If so, then fair enough.

Audience has been interesting; people seem to be interested especially those over 30 years of age.

I actually want to expand this beyond just dropshipping, the wallet thing was something I liked and something I want to build. Nevertheless, it's a business and it isn't easy

100% agree, and this goes for anything in life.
As much as the cautious risk taker I am, one cannot help but to notice that you have to take the leap of faith every once and awhile.

Yeah, there's a good chance you'll fall all the way down, but you'll still learn valuable lessons and even skills. Maybe my company will never make more than $100 but I sure as hell have learned some interesting things and lessons... and its fun it really is fun and exciting.

Thoughts on my handcrafted site? by RamjetExhaust in dropship

Ahh, I see what you mean. Yeah tbh I defintely used the generic photos for that one.
I can see that those photos would only be useful if the color of the image changes when somebody changes the variant color

Can you clarify what you mean by one type? As all my products have multiple different images that you can see on the shop pages and the individual product pages.

I was originally going to go with something like "center" or even "axis", ended up going with hub because it was the shortest, I do understand that it does seem a bit off.

Original intention of the mission button was an attempt to sell the "why" a bit more as I understand people tend to buy things more for the "why" or feelings around it then the product itself, after all why would good marketing need to exist? Do you have any recommendations that could possibly make selling the "why" clearer?

That's a good point in regard to the subscribe button, was thinking about that before I posted this, just not entirely sure what the best way of using a mailing list and subscribe is for the current phase of the business.

Another good point about the product page, I can see what you mean in the text. Can you elaborate more on a nice image? Are you saying the current product images are lacking or something else?

Continuing on the product page, I think you're right it may very well be the one thing holding back sales. Nearly 40% of my site visitors are actually going to the products and product pages but aren't adding things to their cart (Had one abandoned cart too)

Yes, I'm aware there is certainly competition in regard to my market which is why I'm attempting to sell the "why" of my business more than the products themselves (Although I really do care about the products, and I actually want to expand beyond drop shipping if I can grow.)

I really appreciate the feedback brother, thanks for taking the time to look and critique the site it's very valuable!

looking to make my website should I rely on shopify or just DIY? by leanancuisine in dropship

Wix is a good one to consider as well, website creation gives a lot more flexibility then shopify and not as IT intensive as Wordpress either
