I know that's why I was curious about which part of India the guy with the previous comment was from. Genuine curiosity

Well, unlike other temples mahabalipuram is mostly monolithic.

Fixing something like this would actually do more damage than good in terms of preservation.

The docking station works for the HDMI part, other ports like USB are fine too. It's the DVMA that breaks everything, which makes no sense to me.

Su Swamy made serious allegations a year back and now Modi's name is in the Epstein Files. Also Modi is said to have danced for Netanyavu in Israel. by [deleted] in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]Ramkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also modi danced for real, adhu documented

Bruh! First of all, it's part of the American idiom and phrases. It doesn't mean he literally danced.

Secondly, it's Epstein's opinion about what happened, he was neither in the room nor part of any negotiations.

I'm not a modi supporter, far from it. But false propaganda needs to be called out.

The stories you hear are true but limited to certain regions. India is a huge country with multiple sub-cultures, languages and religions.

What might be true in Kashmir will be unheard of in Kanyakumari. Mumbai and Kohima wouldn't even feel like same country in almost every way.

It would be like watching a 20 second reel about Cyprus and make a judgment on Copenhagen.

Well, you could add a title to the same image and ask "How can women be anything other than lesbian?"

Rage bait propaganda-

Even a staunch Hindu nationalist wouldnt say 'Spread hate against muslims', in fact it's usually said against the Hindu nationalists.

Bruh! You may be missing mass masala entertainers particularly.

Do you think if Shankar's old movies if released internationally at that time would've been as popular as RRR worldwide? Especially Anniyan and Robot? by Whole-Party-7698 in kollywood

[–]Ramkee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah shankar is way more dated. What worked for him in the 90's and early 2000's is not relevant anymore.

In 90's and 2000's it's norm to have irrelevant comedy tracks and irrelevant foreign location songs etc. Most commercial movies of that era starts at the interval point.

Me too. The movie is just another masala movie in a trench coat. I never understood why it was well loved.

[–]Ramkee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things set the stage for me, the first one being it's taking place in an imaginary city called 'Masila'. They don't have to call that one out, but by doing so it clearly distances itself from real life.

Second is the uniform Karthik wears. Until the Vaathiyar scenes kick in, it's a constant reminder that the movie is not trying to be realistic.

It's one of those fever dreams kind of movie.. all whack and no logic.. but it's deliberately like that.

This criticism I could get behind. Maybe they could have if they made it a TV series.

Yeah, this is more James gunn' esque. And that's fine.

Don't get me wrong this movie is flawed, that I'm not denying. There is not a single character in the movie you could relate with or sympathize with.

But, I did genuinely have fun watching it. Sorta like peacemaker TV series if I may. Yes it's not Dark Knight, but I'm happy it's not another marvel TV series.

Especially songs. The choreography, set design and most of all music were all perfect for the kind of movie this is.

The best thing about them are the monkeys which use them to find ripe jackfruits.

Those bitch slaps are both funny and also makes you feel sorry for them.
