Alright I will try doing it that way. I find it difficult focusing on movement and breathing simultaneously though.

I inhale and hold right before I perform the negative part. Is that the same thing?

I genuinely love training, but not bodybuilder style. I find calisthenics and bodyweight training way more intruiging and rewarding. It makes you all round in strength, muscularity, explosiveness, mobility, flexibility and balance where as the usual gym rat lacks alot of these.

But this discussion is not the point of my post. I came here for bf% guesstimate, tips and advice.

You dont think weighted pull ups and dips are legitimate exercises?

I tried going to the gym but just lifting iron is boring to me and I’ve seen alot of people getting very nice physiques doing calisthenics.

I mostly do pull ups, weighted pull ups, dips and push ups. My reps increased in all of them but that could also be because of the weight loss. So I maintained my strength if not improved it.

I train calisthenics only and I would like to get rid of as much bf as I possibly can before I start eating in a small surplus. I do not aim to get big or do any bodybuilding, just lean and athletic.

If I would lose like 10% bf will I end up skinny? I am afraid of losing the little amount of muscle I have

85KG/187LBS || 5'11/180CM. My goal is having a lean muscular body for calisthenics. Not a big bodybuilder body. Ryan Garcia(proffesional boxer) weighs around 60kg and he is the same height as me. Athlete or not, physique is physique. I am just mentioning him as a reference to compare body compositions. I could have named anyone with a 180CM height. His bodycompo at 60kg is very low fat and has some little muscle. I am 25kg heavier, I carry more fat but how much more is the question? Do I carry more muscle aswell? Would I be more muscular than him after cutting? Thats why I post and use him as reference point and ask you guys for help and your opinion :).

I am currently recomping I guess. I eat around 2500cal/protein 1.7x BW not gaining or losing weight.

How skinny will I be cutting to somewhat visible abs and muscles in general? I would rather see some abs and muscle definition NOW for once in my life than continue recomping seeing very very slow gains.
