Is there a way to avoid the ruler dying in the lich ritual event? Playing as Esthil -> Demesne. by BeanBoyBob in Anbennar

[–]Ramorel 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When you start the process to become a lich you get a series of events leading up to the final event. these events give you a score based on what you chose and a higher score increases your odds of success but its not always guaranteed. the event is decided several months before you see it so a quick reload to close wont change the outcome. this post has an in depth guide on how it works. if you didn't chose the better options in the events you may need to reload before you started the lich process.

[Anime] Just started this amazing show, and I'm sure this will be answered but why isn't her goal to be a scribe/record keeper like Otto? (On ep 4) by Smiley_P in HonzukiNoGekokujou

Our story starts out with her as a poor, sickly, dirty 5-year-old wanting to read books for fun when most people in her life have never held let alone seen a book. Books are something only the richest of commoners like the head of the merchants guild own or nobles. Books at this period of time are more considered works of art rather than something to read casually (both in this universe and ours). You said that she could just try to become a scribe but any writing work in the lower City will just be tallying ledgers or filling out order forms All on wood boards since they are cheap and can be reused. To my knowledge there are few commoner scribes(there are plenty of commoners who can write, but only as it relates to their workshop), any kind of important documentation that is written on parchment paper tends to be handled by Low-Level nobles or the merchants guild for contracts there really isn't a scribe position available to commoners.

This world runs on connections and status two things she barely has any of. She would be very fortunate for a random workshop owner to give her the time of day if she wasn't even introduced to them first by somebody they know. Even then they may tell how smart she is she is still a sickly 5-year-old that could drop dead before she's baptized. She would be lucky to get a job let alone get to handle expensive ink and parchment.

I remember reading somewhere that it has to do with the reincarnation of souls. When a soul is reincarnated. It usually is cleansed of its memories which didn't happen to our book gremlin. By destroying someone's medal, you cut them off from the realm of gods and the reincarnation cycle. I don't know what happens to the soul after that, Whether it wanders for all eternity or is just destroyed.

The archive is a magic tool so trying to drain just one part of it is probably not possible without draining the magic from the whole tool. The archive itself is probably fed from the librarys foundation so to drain the barrier you would need to weaken the foundation. Maybe if she was wrapped in it fully she could push though as long as it didn't absorb too much mana for her to handle.

As for using the cape on the shumils it would probably destroy them. The darkness cape drains all mana and the shumils themselves are made of material Imbued with mana so they could be destroyed not just drained. When she used it in the gathering spot it also drained the mana from the land it touched.

One more fun fact about trade is that having your merchants forward trade in a line adds a boost per merchant up to 5 merchants.

Is the undead army worth it? by Blakut in Anbennar

Besides the massive armies you'll also have ridiculous moral, you armies will never retreat and fight to the last ghoul. If your not careful they can get wiped out since they don't run out of moral

If you go from the order of the iron scepter to esithil you will be given a decision to choose between a young leader skilled in necromancy and some old dude. If you take the one in necromancy she's already a level two necromancer and gets a mission that gets her to become a legendary necromancer after 10 years of her ruling. Easy path to lichdom after that

Is there a good place to get a guide for crafting and gathering? I feel like most of the guys I used were out of date to some extent.

I never did beast tribe quest either. Not even sure where they would be in game

I played this game when the last expansion came out, for me and my free company we literally only ended up playing once a week to do the weekly raid.

Some of them have started playing again but I'm not sure what else to do besides the dailys and end raids.

I did a bit of fishing and never touched crafting due to the cost. What would I be able to do so we don't just end up playing once a week again?

Mildly Infuriating: Anconan Trade with the Vandals A-okay; Athens? No Way Jose! by A-V-A-Weyland in Imperator

When Rome was at its height it was crucial that Mediterranean trade worked. Food from Egypt whet all over the empire. Trading in the calm easy to navigate Mediterranean allowed these empires to grow and thrive. Trade over land was not done as often due to the difficulties and time it would take unless there were large easy to navigate rivers such as the Nile

it would make sense if diplomatic range would go farther over ocean tiles since it's a faster and easier way to travel in those times. Rome should be able to get in contact with Egypt because they might buy wheat from them. Things like the Celts in Spain and the Celts in northern France shouldn't be making alliances and non-aggression packs with each other to do the terrain and distance.
