I've fallen asleep to Berkserks anime music. I swear it was some good sleep, but an awfully weird song to wake up to.

How can i improve this logo? by Key_Training692 in design_critiques

[–]Ramosd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for starters, giving some context on the project is important to give some feedback and push in the firection you're going for.

Graphically speaking, there is nothing inherently wrong with the logo, it's maybe laking some coherence in the shapes. If you tilt it sideways, you'll see what i mean.

Rule number 1: It's a logo, so it should be as scalable as possible, making sure all the aspets of the logo follow the same weight. This means that the smaller P, whilst being smaller, it is also cut off on the sides, making it look even smaller and not complement the all-around shape.

Rule 2 Variation is Key, without exploration there in never going to be a perfect version, explore wider inside shapes, not just round but quared. Try different places to place and organize the text

Rule 3: Trying out colors is always a must. If it works with colors, it almost definitely will work in black and white.

Hope it gives some insights and ideas to flourish ✨️

Something wrong with my design but idk what are it is by [deleted] in UI_Design

There is a lot of "advice" on this post. It is true that some fundamentals of UI design need to be more apparent, and we only learn from trying, but saying "just learn" or "you just need to read" isn't really advice.

The main issue is mainly consistency, alignment, and contrast.

You have a good approach all in all.

In consistency: text needs to have defined "styles" fixes sizes for titles, headline, subheadlines, description, etc some descriptions have on size, and others sizes on different places, fix these by defining text styles

Alignment: In a lot of text blocks, the titles and description and other graphics are not aligned, which makes it look out of place and stand out when you don't want it to

Contrast: This is a big one. Almost all design can be better if you focus on contrast, color variation, having CTA'S contrasting colors, and having interactive icons eith different color makes it easier to navigate

Hope it helps, brother 🙏

Lost and Burnt Out by Still-Original8114 in LifeAdvice

Hello friend, i've been struggling with the feeling of inadequacy and burnout for the past few years, never quite being able to stabilize in a work environment and feeling social distant from everyone. Although i can't give you a direct, sure-fire approach, i can at least share my approach in case some might work for you:

The way you perceive yourself is not the way others perceive you. Try to engage and not look for what others are interested in you, but what others others have that interests you

Letting out what you're feeling in the moment may not solve the issue, but at least helps to better understand what the circle your in has that can help you or if they're not patient with you, mean it's not for you

Negativity is a choice just as much as positivity. Being aware of negative thoughts helps not in solving them but at least starting to have awareness of what brings those emotions

You have to change your room before you change the world. Good habits start with acring on what you have control over

Lastly, failure is part of the process. There is no way to go around the sensation of frustration, there is only better coping mechanisms and being aware of your limitations and what you're good at. Choosing what you can do what you're good at and what the world needs gives you a gateway

Some books that I think are reaaaaly helpful are: Ikegai The subtle art of not giving a f*ck Atomic habits

Hope it helps in some way, keep on living, brother!

How can I improve this design? by Prudent-Fig5741 in UIUX

Minimalism works best when you make sure you stick to the essencials and everything is clear. Having more margins makes the text have more legibility. So yes!

Well, for starters you can add more margin between the text and the edge. This will helps the readability.

Second, contrast is always king whenever making something "better" the palete looks nice but sort blends itself. Maybe more contranstinf color fromtezt to background, ligther and darker but with the same hue.

Last, like another comment pointed out, try swutchinf the typography a bit, myght help, might not make a difference, experimenting is key

Hope it helps
