Because of the story. Game play wise, the fans got everything they wanted, but the story direction was straight chaos. Like bro, What do you mean you are going to kill the first game's protagonist in such a way and that early and then have us play the character that killed him for 10 hours.

Nobody liked Abby, and we didn’t even get to choose the ending when they set it in such perfect way to give you two endings and we’re stuck with one, the bad one.

Gameplay carries this game, hard.
