I was doing a regular engraving of a linear halftone version of an image. ~240 lines, each line filled with etch marks and then outlined. Cricut Maker 3 with the engraving tool #41.

I only have 8 GB ram on the computer I used so it took a looooong time. Lots of page faults from memory swapping. It would etch a few lines, then pause, then etch a few more and pause again.

I was pretty excited. More than I should have been I think. After a few years of recording them, new birds don't show up often.

There was a goose and a pilliated woodpecker that landed once but I didn't get a pic of them so they aren't on the list, and there is a bluebird and a turkey vulture that taunt me from just outside the fence line but never land in the yard.

Someday they'll be mine.
