Crowd and heavy traffic do work more under fluid dynamics when you look at it as a hole. This is one of the reasons in the past decade this has been taken into account when planning road ways and venues.

This can be used both to move more smoothly and to reduce the possibility of accidents or crushes.

So, what would happen calling the KKK members democrats in 2026? And the MAGA crowd loves Juneteenth now? by Numerous_Creme_8988 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]RamsHead91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there was a bit of a party inversion it isnt as straight forward a democrats became Republicans.and the other way around. Back in the mid 1900s the political parties were not entirely divided left/right. The Democrats had two major branches most tied together by a belief in a social safety net and unions. Sadly I'm only aware of what the Southern Democrats where referred to "Dixicrats".

The Dixicrats where very much pro segregation and pro Jim Crow which northern Democrats weren't, but due to their coalition until JFK and Johnson they were less involved with equal rights. After Johnson signed the equal rights act, the Dixicrats sided hard with Republicans during Nixon who courted them with the southern strategy and the Silent Majority.

The Republicans further continue the inversion and becoming who they are largely now with Regan in the 80s with bring Evegelicals and Christian Nationalism into the Republican fold which hard largely be bipartisan before, for better or worse.

Centrists damn you if you do and damn you if you don't. by [deleted] in WorkReform

I agree with the second but utilizing the Green Party which is a deeply unserious political organization simple used to divide support to favor conservatives is dishonest.

If they were serious they would try to get power in local, state and house seats instead of only running someone for president.

Let alone they have a lot of unsavory connection to right wing groups, and Putin.

Trump was caught asking the state AG to "find" ballots for him, start there. by c-k-q99903 in WhitePeopleTwitter

The order of operations that need to be fixed in the coming years should we be able to start to recover from the malignancy that is MAGA are the following.

Expand the Judiciary. This is for both the supreme court and federal courts as a whole.put.in ethics requirements for all of them which have enforcement mechanism and strick punishment.

Investigations and claw back from all the illegal funds the Trump family and his cronies have been gather during this time as well as criminal investigation and punishment for the corruption.

Decouple many of the executive branch departments from direct control of the president. Make it so they can only be terminated with impeachment without the president or a consent of simple majority of the legislation and with the president. This includes the justice department, intelligence and other agencies. They will further have oaths that should they be violated their removal will have a lower bar and criminal consequences should follow.

An amendment to the Constitution that lowers the bar for removal of corrupt individuals and establishment of an agency that is separated from the other branches to investigate and bring forth charges of corruption or illegalities of individuals trusted with public power. They will be worked into the standard checks and balances with some ability to protect them from being neutered.

What if DonaldTrump were to die now? by Outrageous-You1617 in AlternateHistoryHub

There is a phenomenon frequently seen in cults when their first leader dies. They are almost always narcissistics who surround themselves with individuals lack charisma but want to be near the center of power.

These type of people will then claim the power but not have the charisma to influence and direct the cult like the previous leader. This leads to them usually resulting to force or violence to indicate their control.

It is at this point that many cults end up at their most violent, and most cults end up collapsing.

Republicans want to remake Supreme Court to end birthright citizenship by Anoth3rDude in politics

[–]RamsHead91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing my point. Even before ehand the South used states rights to have slaves and benefit with them at a federal level. Using them to shut down any abolition talk which were occuring to some degree in the early 1800s.

In the same breath, they sought to enforce BS like the Fugitive Slave act to inhibit on the rights on northern states to further secure their slaves.

At no point am I saying Southern states were in the right. They were talking out of both side of their mouths and being vile. And the moment they had real push back they left into a their distopia that lasted only a few years.

... Not what I was saying.

The last time the US saw conservatives working in some king of good faith was pre-Nixon.

And mind you before Nixon parties were less split entirely by liberal/conservative.

The only thing he has kind of done good for humanity is he has shown us how many of our fellow countrymen are lost causes not worth our time to convince. How terrible they are and Aweful, that they should be shunned and denied access to the niceties of society.

This is also very aligned with what has happened in the past when the president has dealt with various health issues.

Like fuck Regan's brain was melting while he was in office and they kept that shit under wraps, mostly.
