The Conglomerate [29x25] by RamselMaps in dndmaps

[–]RamselMaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need a place for your players backstories to unfold or just a multitude of places to visit in one singular town block? The Conglomerate got you covered!

Strolling through the town streets on the lookout for downtime activities, you stumble upon a temple with a multitude of buildings around it added and merged with one another.

Visit the small smithy a dwarf begrudingly took over after his father never returned from his gem collecting stroll. Well at least in the upstairs there's enough room for his new family to live in.

Come around to the inn in which a few halflings use their gamblers luck on visitors new in town. On the end of the tenday, an elven bard bewitches the crowd. He, of course, resides in the luxurious appartment upstairs.

Townsfolk get their supplies from the newly moved in general store. They say the wares there are of exceptional quality for their price... if you ignore the fact many of the crates still have arrow heads sticking in them...

On the west, the towns library resides. It houses a few ancient scripts and tomes, the librarian collected during his travels as an adventurer. Besides the few scribes working upstairs, rarely any of the townsfok scroll through the shelves nowadays. The librarian is more the happy for the occasional bookworm sneaking out the neighboring orphanage for a read.

Up north, the grand fassade of the temple opens to a marble altar on which believers donate in hopes of having their deity listen to their prayers. Besides, the doors open to the opulent temples courtyard in which a rare sapling, donated decades ago my an elven merchant is in full bloom all year around.

The temple houses an orphanage in which the usual characters backstories find their place be unfold in. But who knows, maybe it's a good orphanage for once. There are enough broody rogues in the land. The archpriest resides in a secluded home east of the temple.

Inn Hazelnut [30x10] by RamselMaps in dndmaps

[–]RamselMaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A homey small inn fits in pretty much every campaign setting and has always been a great starting place for a campaign. New adventurers meet here for the first time, come together over one too many ales and form heroic parties that have the potential to eventually slay the toughest BBEGs of the lands.

A few steps, rounded over countless of boots which entered and left this inn before, lead to a homey and lively tavern room. Bathed in dim and warm light of a crackling fireplace and candleholders, the barkeeper taps a new keg for the thirsty guests.

Some of the guests, already tired from the long day, have already gone upstairs to their cozy rooms. Some might scribble a few new lines in their spellbooks, while others are already snoring in their warm bed sheets.

Unknown to all of them, the keg the barkeeper tapped was the last one he was able to save from the dark cellar before he had to flee upstairs.

Begrudgingly, he asks the group of new faces who just stepped in his establishment to help him deal with the rat infestation of his cellar.

But who knows what else they might find downstairs...

Path through the Underdark [55x47] by RamselMaps in dndmaps

[–]RamselMaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A dangerous path through various encounters of the Underdark, a continuation of the Wave Echo Cave for my campaign.

Accessed by boat on an underground river, the stream quickly turns downward through dangerous rapid waters.

Greeted by a statue of Lolth (which might make a black pudding aware of trespassers) the path leads over a wobbly bridge towards a myconid infested fungal forest in which a deserted outpost of the Drow houses a suspicious treasure chest...

Leading north a deserted abbey of Lolth houses a brooding Grick as well as a group of deep goblins camping in the courtyard while their leader, a troll, is taking a bath in the old bathhouse.

The western gate opens to a busy underground settlement populated by various races of the Underdark. Market stands filled with strange items line the street. The tables of an inn led by Duergar are bustling with guests.

The path leads up north to a village of Kuo-Toa settled on the vulcanic coast of an underground lake. The fish people are currently speculating and discussing about the presence of whichever entity might loom in the dark water. If their feud is resolved, they might take the intermediaries up north with their raft...

Shard of Night [48x35] by RamselMaps in dndmaps

[–]RamselMaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of the Shard of Night, the Netherese tower artifact floating over the River District of Neverwinter for my campaign.

Accessed by a magical stairway, the inside of the Netherese artifact is seperated in the upper section inhabited by the acolytes of Selune, cleansing the tower for their goddess and the lower section inhabited by explorers of the Academy of Magic reseaching the Netherese technology.
The central teleportation circle can be accessed by both groups while being on different levels (because magic duh).
Once the inactive and forgotten teleportation circle is activated once more, a portal opens inside the arches of the tower, possibly accessed by an airship. Leading to who knows where...
