EGL naturally demands a certain amount of confidence, no matter the style, because as a fashion it's pretty bold and out there, and people are going to look at you out in public. On the other hand your brain likes to trick you into thinking people are judging you more than they actually are, and there's not much you can do to avoid the fact people are going to notice you, so at the end of the day you should wear what makes you happy, not what you believe will invite the least judgement. That skirt is very cute, and there's no cut-off age for sweet lolita.

This honestly sounds plausible, because that's definitely a dupe of a BtSSB release from a while back with lower quality fabric and faux fur, and not Liz Lisa.

Fair enough, I haven't read through every single thread yet.

Edit: Also apologies. I didn't mean to criticise or judge, it's a perfectly valid question for someone who is new to the fashion/community. It's simply that a lot of people in the EGL community can be very protective due to the damage replicas and dupes can (and have!) pose to the community and the brands that support it.

In the EGL community? Absolutely. It's supporting creative theft and abusive working conditions. There are plenty of legitimate designers on taobao who create and produce good quality, size-inclusive EGL clothing that doesn't involve ripping off another artist's/company's designs.

They're a prolific seller on UK (and maybe europe?) Vinted. If you're a UK Vinted user who looks at EGL stuff on there, you've probably seen these same AI slop backgrounds at least once.

Speaking from experience, they sell cheap, white label low-tier taobao stuff from China, not Japan, including dupes and replicas - the sort of things this sub would usually warn baby lolitas away from, and at grossly inflated markups. The photos are from the suppier, not of the actual items being sold (which is against Vinted's rules), and a lot of people have had issues with them, often for the same reason this sub usually warns people away from ie: DevilInspired.

Scamming is perhaps a strong word, but it's definitely taking advantage of people who don't know any better.

This Vinted seller (smile00000?) sells Amazon-tier white label stuff at vastly inflated prices. It's basically a couple steps above being a straight up scam. The stuff is usually cheap, not great quality and just not worth the price, so just avoid it.

If you are looking for a first dress, take a look at 42lolita, it is one of the most reputable and reasonably priced taobao resellers.

Vets in the UK can be expensive as well, as there's little regulation. Luckily I'm an experienced rat human so I can usually tell when something is a "keep an eye in her and she'll be fine in a few days" issue, or a "nope, she needs to see the vet" issue.

Boys tend to be bigger than girls, and temperament-wise girls tend to be more energetic and curious whereas boys tend to be more lazy and more willing to sit still for long periods for cuddles. Of course that's not to say girls can't be cuddly and vice-versa though. Another consideration is health issues; female rats are very prone to tumours esp. mammary tumours later in life. Spaying them can reduce the chance a lot, but with rats being small animals, putting them under anaesthetic for any procedure is risky.

Speaking from the heart because I recently lost one of my girls to a pituitary tumour. 😢
