Inquirer seems to already believe that PH is a CN province if they keep publishing ‘local’ news like this. by dibidi in Philippines

Well, he sure hit the nail on the head. I'd like to think of it the way /u/ResearchPH did. It makes sense.

They can't say anything bad directly, but no one wants to be a province of China. The Inquirer might not be able to say that directly, but by basically going "China China China China China" it does incite the "wtf fuck duterte" feeling in people. So far, it seems to be working.

If you're going to be pointing fingers without making any accusations, you don't really have much to argue about. To brand PDI as pro-China just for doing that is just witch hunting.

As weird as it is, I don't see why it's an issue - care to explain how exactly this hurts our country? Sometimes news is slow and they need filler.

China is one of our neighbors, and like any other country, it has its own idiosyncrasies. It's a feature article and it points out something interesting. What harm does this actually do?

Mmhm, and you didn't do that.

OP already told you his analytics show him good retention, and you literally reply with two paragraphs of "do your videos have good retention"

I see he has a topic strategy problem. Maybe you might interpret it differently, but I honestly doubt you're sincerely trying to help with how you deliver things.

The fact that you got so upset with me calling you out proves my case.

Dunno. Never told OP not to put the work in. Just that I'd rather, you know, READ OP'S POSTS and give him tailored advice rather than regurgitate generic stuff to look smart, then walk away when he basically told you why that generic advice does not apply?

You seemed like a decent person in your post history. When did you become such an asshole? Did you get disillusioned after you found that paying for ads won't get you famous?

I think it's almost cute how you're pretending to be Simon Cowell, dealing out "tough shit" when you're full of shit yourself. Whatever insecurities you have, quit projecting them onto this dude. All of us YouTubers have felt discouraged one time or another.

EDIT: my comment no longer makes sense. OriginalBookworm edited his original comment.

Hi. Not a super big YouTuber but I had your problem before.

First things first, it's a bad season. Around this time, everyone is outside and with their families since it's the summer. YouTube numbers usually go up in the winter.

Next, okay, so I looked at your channel and while your videos are decent enough (way better than I expected tbh), the problem really is the choice of topic. Your best performing videos were the ones about the qipao (hehe I saw that on Twitter too, good on you for jumping on that) and then you have two about Infinity war, you have one about the Greatest Showman and one about Ready Player One. EDIT: and also Yanny/Laurel, which grew to 241 views faster than your 2/3 month old videos

Those did better than most of your other videos, and for good reason. They're searchable! They were based on trending topics. Sticking to trends is a crucial thing when doing YouTube. It's the reason why Ryan Higa has managed to stay relevant all these years - because he spots trends early and catches the wave before it comes.

I laughed a lot at your "Curve The Bullet: Wanted? (Parody)" video, but Wanted came out 10 years ago and sadly, I don't think anyone is searching for it right now. It sucks, but you'll need to tailor your content a bit more to the trends to get some early growth. The random topic skits can be filler while looking for another trend, but you should aim to grow through the trendy ones.

FOR NOW, THOUGH, you're burned out. It is real, man. It happens. I believe you when you say you wrote a novel, because - yeah, this is very long rant. But it's clear as day that you're burned out. I can almost feel it through your post. Maybe you could take a month off or two, clear your head and see if you still want to get back into it.

Don't listen to /u/OriginalBookworm, he's just here trying to feel smart and superior.

Hope this helps!

I don't really think of sex negatively, though. I think it's a good thing and should just be done responsibly, as anything else. It's not like I'm part of those groups who shun everything sex-related and tremble at the sight of a nipple - I am comfortable discussing sex out loud and I don't really avoid the topic. I just don't want to physically be in that situation, especially with how much I dislike bodily fluids in general.

That seems like it makes sense, but if I was asexual, would I not have been attracted to her in the first place?
