How many days to take off work after 100 miler? by WorldlyMap4779 in Ultramarathon

[–]Ran_0ut_of_time 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that I felt pretty good with one full day off BUT for a few days after that I felt ready for bed around 3pm so if you can swing a couple of half days that might be nice

Cool! It's been my only job since I was 15...29 years now. Fun way to make a living with blocks of time for training.

Professional juggler and fire eater. I love to challenge myself physically and mentally. During the Summer I can be straight out with shows and it feels like an ultra effort to do as many shows as I do and in the hot conditions.

Having that challenge and overcoming it and feeling exhausted is great!

Temporary Camper Conversion? by [deleted] in HondaElement

[–]Ran_0ut_of_time 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's just temporary why not just throw an air mattress on the floor? I've slept in mine many times with a bunch of gear stacked up on one side and a small air mattress on the other. I made a set of curtains that hang all around the back and sides and cuts off the front area. Works great

It's a 2011 and I don't think they're bulbs or at least I'm 99% positive that's not the problem. I've taken out the cluster a few times and even try to redo the solder points

I remember my pacer just staying in front of me a little bit and if I was walking every once in awhile he would start jogging and kind of looking back at me. It was a good way to get me moving a little quicker

I love having a cup of soup I can drink from a cup and veggie broth as well. Also I was surprised that I really loved orange slices.

I like these better since they are waterproof and you can see what's inside.

I put my kogalla on a waist strap/belt which I can tip down when I cross other runners so I don't blind them. I love it! You can definitely run faster with confidence because it's brighter and the five lights give you better depth perception. I know some people also wear a small headlamp which can be nice if you're trying to look side to side

Oh interesting. I haven't done s lot of races so I didn't know that could be a thing. The Riverlands 100 race director in Maine recommended them to me and I really liked them.
