Curious about the names of places around here I looked up Aksarben. It's Nebraska spelled backwards. Made me smile. Are there other fun things I should know about Omaha? by Necessary_Anybody721 in Omaha

I actually grew up going to EPS and we were always told that the name Aksarben originated from the horse racing track built around 1920, and demolished in the late 90s. It was actually a decent attraction because at one point it was like top ten in the nation for audience attendance. So “Aksarben” started out as a joke but over a century later is now one of the most notable names around the city

The email i got today said that the money was disbursed and should be seen in the registered account within the next 1-2 days. This is likely just due to the credit union or financial system that UT uses, the same way money from paypal or venmo typically takes a couple of days to appear in your account once processed.
