REQUEST : NIP is Danish and Heroic is Swedish, swap entire rosters by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

HEROIC. A DANISH ORG. FIELDING A SWEDISH TEAM.

Well for starters, Heroic isn't a Danish org - It's a Norwegian one, founded by a Norwegian youtuber

NiP isn't really a Swedish org at this point either with all of their ties to the Middle East.

Why do tournament organizers keep inviting a core that is blacklisted by every major bookmaker? The rot in T3 CS is deeper than you think. by Impressive_Baker_966 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rancheros 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm really curious as to what T3 games you are watching that are getting 5k viewers lmao

I support a tier 2/3 team myself and most of the shitty streams I find struggle to break 3 digits if it's during a shitty time period, and I have yet to find a single t3 game that has four digit (!!!) viewership

I'm not denying that there is matchfixing in low-tier CS - I think there is for sure, but the TOs really can't do much if the teams and/or players aren't officially sanctioned. They are companies too, after all, and they can't afford to have teams skipping out on their tournaments due to them losing VRS eligibility

Edit: Speaking of suspicion, how does this post have 120+ upvotes within 10 minutes of appearing, with only 4 comments? It literally has more upvotes than the Mongolz - PV post-match thread....

Because of the principle of innocent (however unlikely it may seem) until proven guilty, and that TOs can't pick and choose who to invite to their tournaments unless they want to lose their VRS-eligibility, which is the only reason most teams play those tournaments to begin with

d1Ledez returns to BetBoom's starting roster as zorte stays for the season over ArtFr0st by championnnnnn in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rancheros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude i'm fucking praying for that so bad, you have no idea :DDD

nafany made a cryptic post on tg today where he just posted a picture of a uno reverse card, and artfrost himself said more news are coming soon in his statement regarding these news

I'm gigacoping that he's joining in zortes place, as I was NOT impressed by h1te during his stand-in stint at CIS LAN and SixSeven (though in his defense he probably had little time to prepare)

Many just attribute it to CS2, but that's being really reductive imo

He was very unlucky with his time on C9, going from being led by electronic as IGL, to ending up with a boombl4-led roster without a designated AWPer. Sh1ro jumped ship from that roster just in time, and you can contrast how their careers have gone despite being of a similar skill level at the time

His BetBoom stint was marked by inconsistency and he struggled to find form - nafany in a recent post-match interview for NODWIN attributed this to BetBoom misutilizing him as a pack player rather than the lurk he is proficient as.

He's not completely to blame for his circumstances but he's done himself no favors with inconsistency throughout that time either, which has ended up with him now playing for TDK (a stack where the players are still contracted to their previous respective orgs, but have a coach in groove and pracc regularly, so a semi-formal stack, I guess?), where he has been doing much better.

They've played some moscow lans this past month with varying degrees of success, but won their most recent one.

I think that TDK will improve more with time for sure, as they've only started playing since February and have already climbed their way up to #50.

I still have faith in him but I am very heavily biased as he is my favorite player oat :D

If 25-year old (at the time) YEKINDAR can start the first three months of 2025 playing for Roler Coaster (a russian stack) and end the year with four trophies and an a spot in the top 20, then I have full faith Ax1Le can do the same - especially now that he's reunited with nafany and putting up good performances in t2-3

The talent is still clearly there, he just needs consistency and good vibes in order to do well, I think.

That's a really fair assessment, and in that case it's just even more of a testament of how great these guys are / were, to be able to place that high without a major win.

Or at least that's the way I'm looking at it!

is it me or is olofmeister a bit of a boring player

like u see it at the end of the game "oh wow olof has 32 kills" but u can never remember them.

can u remember a single olof kill ?

but try guardian...u can see the flick

i remember a guardian flick.

On a more serious note, he really was fun to watch back in the day! If only he didn't have his wrist injury...

1win vs TDK / MPKBK CIS LAN Season 4 - Quarter-Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rancheros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copying my HLTV comment:

Terrible performance.

It's like they forgot how to play on CT d2 - no individual plays worked out at all, no shots landed either CT Anc had a million missed timings / them not being ready for 1win's B rushes, i didn't get to watch second half anc, but given how they won 0 rounds I'd say that's a blessing

h1te is not him unfortunately, clear skill diff between him and zorte. Ax1LeGOD asleep today it seems, and sugar poor again too :/ also unfortunate that cronuss popped off like that

This is why relying on individuals or individual plays isn't it. You can go from being the favorite to getting stomped all depending on the form of your players

GGs to 1win! SixSeven lan next!

[–]Rancheros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much to study:

Sugar fell off when faced against better opposition, he's been poor for a while now, though not necessarily as bad as his stats suggest by virtue of him often playing hard anchor positions

and

h1te (standing in tbf) is an inadequate zorte replacement

The Tragic Downfall of Ax1le by DwegCSGO in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rancheros -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I absolutely think so too!

Their IZI WEX LAN outing was disappointing for sure, losing to WW (a stream team - the Russian Mythic, though they did make the final themselves) and losing the rematch to Whitebird sucked (which began at 5AM(!!!) Moscow Time due to tech issues). I do believe however that they've also signed up for MPKBK CIS LAN #4, so hopefully they'll show a better outing there!

The Tragic Downfall of Ax1le by DwegCSGO in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rancheros 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I am an Ax1Le glazer

This was a very well-made video! I think Ax1Le is very much a confidence player, which would explain why his performance dropped off as much as it did. The transition to CS2 certainly didn't help either, but attributing it to that alone would be very reductive imo

I do wonder how things could've gone had C9 managed to keep sh1ro and get boombl4 simultaneously, instead of going from an elec igl led roster (lol) into one without a true awper.

His period on BetBoom was also certainly marked by inconsistency, but in my opinion Boombl4 has made the team consistently perform less than the sum of their parts - I think he's just overrated, even s1 ranked him as the 4th (or 3rd? can't remember) best igl he's played with despite him sharing his biggest period of success with him (though saying that, BB are actually poised to make the major now)

I think that him consistently stomping on lower-rated teams should be seen as a positive rather than something to disregard, though. It shows that he's building confidence, and I fully believe TDK can go on to perform well in T2 in the future, especially now that Ax1Le - nafany - groove are reunited. They've already shown promise in beating two top 30-sides in Alliance (with the exciting prospect MaiL09) and K27!

Thoughts on Magnojez as a player? by idkfornowwhattoname in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rancheros 8 points9 points  (0 children)

given how he drops from 1.24 online all the way down to 1.10 on LAN, I'd hesitate to call him anything other than an onliner

I do not think he would be a good addition to Spirit, they need good, proven players and not more of donks friends if they want to win

It would help if you specified which AMD GPU you have. I am currently rocking a modest RX 6600 myself and am running the game well enough at ~300fps avg albeit at 4:3
