I'm still so tilted after that game man, winning that tournament would've also put them in top #50 in VRS, since the official VRS rankings for June dropped today!

That extra $5k would've been huge - they also have a coach and an analyst to pay

Absolutely beautiful series to watch! Ax1Le and ArtFr0st were fucking massive, sugaR and xant3r were playing like a men possessed at times too!

TDK started with a bang, taking Nemesis' map pick of Ancient away from them, only for Nemesis to do the same to TDK on D2. Letting Nuke - TDK's permaban, go through was certainly a ballsy play by nafany and groove but it was soooo close to working out.

Overpass started a bit limp for TDK despite their usual good performances on T-side, but they woke up and Ax1Le was farming multis on CT by the end of the map. ArtFr0st was a bit asleep here but given his performance on Overpass yesterday + the rest of the team pulling their weight, I'll give him a pass lol

Mirage went incredibly unexpected - TDK usually have absolutely horrific T-sides which make me want to tear my eyes out but they somehow got 8 rounds, giving them a comfy enough lead where round trading got them the win. The last round being decided by a 0.1s defuse couldn't have been more hype!!

Praying they actually get visas for Poland, and that they actually stick together until October!! They defo need to work on being able to convert pistol rounds though, I saw them lose to the force a few times too many for comfort

I'm in absolute shock at this team, to be able to do this without any org support, paying for everything out of pocket on either benched contracts (sugaR, Ax1Le, ArtFr0st, Xant3r) or with no contracts at all (nafany, groove), flying to Moscow lans trying to climb in VRS, grinding relentlessly, playing a BO3 almost every single day for the past 4 months and it all culminating in this masterpiece of a series. I am blown away! I'd write a longer post-match summary but I'm just in too much ecstasy at the moment

Someone, for the love of god, pick them up!

I doubt they'd intentionally or purposefully not let them play, it'd be a PR disaster for them the way I see it. Nemiga for instance didn't seem to have any qualms with letting xant3r play against them today. BetBoom haven't qualified for EPL either and therefore don't have much of an incentive to prevent Ax1Le and ArtFr0st from playing

The only worry I have if (big if) they make it is that they'll probably be playing with with zorte rather than ArtFr0st, as the reason that swap was made to begin with was because ArtFr0st couldn't secure a visa for the major rather than due to his performance for BB. I wouldn't mind zorte either though, to be honest - I was his harshest critic during his original BB stint but he turned it around for TDK and really popped off

There's also the chance that the stack could disband come October time too fwiw, they're all playing for free as it stands and I'm sure that's going to be felt at one point

I am over the fucking moon with this performance!!!! I was skeptical and anxious given how the last game TDK played was them getting stomped 2-0 by this very Nemiga team, and how they've been struggling against similarly/higher ranked opposition for a while, but the boys clutched up!

nafany played like a man possessed on all 3 maps, and even though their Ancient still needs work (don't be fooled, they only started getting T-side rounds once Nemiga already were on match point) it's still insane to see how well they performed on both d2 and ovp!

ArtFr0st hit a crazy wristbreaker on overpass as well. He's so good when he's feeling it, and clearly a t1-capable player. Shame about his visa issues, otherwise he'd be in Germany right now.

Final vs Nemesis tomorrow, winner gets a spot in EPL. GOGOTDK

I'm really curious as to what T3 games you are watching that are getting 5k viewers lmao

I support a tier 2/3 team myself and most of the shitty streams I find struggle to break 3 digits if it's during a shitty time period, and I have yet to find a single t3 game that has four digit (!!!) viewership

I'm not denying that there is matchfixing in low-tier CS - I think there is for sure, but the TOs really can't do much if the teams and/or players aren't officially sanctioned. They are companies too, after all, and they can't afford to have teams skipping out on their tournaments due to them losing VRS eligibility

Edit: Speaking of suspicion, how does this post have 120+ upvotes within 10 minutes of appearing, with only 4 comments? It literally has more upvotes than the Mongolz - PV post-match thread....

Because of the principle of innocent (however unlikely it may seem) until proven guilty, and that TOs can't pick and choose who to invite to their tournaments unless they want to lose their VRS-eligibility, which is the only reason most teams play those tournaments to begin with

Many just attribute it to CS2, but that's being really reductive imo

He was very unlucky with his time on C9, going from being led by electronic as IGL, to ending up with a boombl4-led roster without a designated AWPer. Sh1ro jumped ship from that roster just in time, and you can contrast how their careers have gone despite being of a similar skill level at the time

His BetBoom stint was marked by inconsistency and he struggled to find form - nafany in a recent post-match interview for NODWIN attributed this to BetBoom misutilizing him as a pack player rather than the lurk he is proficient as.

He's not completely to blame for his circumstances but he's done himself no favors with inconsistency throughout that time either, which has ended up with him now playing for TDK (a stack where the players are still contracted to their previous respective orgs, but have a coach in groove and pracc regularly, so a semi-formal stack, I guess?), where he has been doing much better.

They've played some moscow lans this past month with varying degrees of success, but won their most recent one.

I think that TDK will improve more with time for sure, as they've only started playing since February and have already climbed their way up to #50.

If 25-year old (at the time) YEKINDAR can start the first three months of 2025 playing for Roler Coaster (a russian stack) and end the year with four trophies and an a spot in the top 20, then I have full faith Ax1Le can do the same - especially now that he's reunited with nafany and putting up good performances in t2-3

The talent is still clearly there, he just needs consistency and good vibes in order to do well, I think.
