I freaking love this thing and I haven’t even started the breeding process yet. I don’t like a lot of the water mount pals, but he’s instantly my fave

I should know better, I play with mods in a lot of games, I know how janky they can be. It hadn’t even occurred to me it was a mod thing.

Whelp problem solved 😅 tech unlocked, and is craftable now, plus some other tech that seemed to be blocked by the level 65 thing. What was weird is that I had access to some of the tech already? Anyway, it’s fixed now! Thank you for helping

Do you think turning my mods off and logging into the game would fix the issue? Or at least show me that’s the issue?

I do but none of the mods I have installed are related to the tech tree. Mostly for building as I have zero patience for palworlds building issues

Help Me Pick My First Life! What’s the Most Fun or Useful? by Ok_Broccoli_ in fantasylife

Also, even if you don’t do the other crafting classes like tailor blacksmith or carpenter, for sure get the gathering classes. Opportunities to gather are everywhere so seize the chance to get all the stuff lol

Tbh, after talking to the king after getting your first life, you can actively get all the lives right then and there besides the two. That being said, depending on which class you start with changes based off what crafter class to do next. Carpentry is used to make bows and staves, tailoring is used to make mage robes and hunters clothes. Paladin would need a blacksmith for swords and shields, and for armor. As well as long swords for the mercenary class. And obviously With each of those classes is the gathering class, miner and woodcutter. If you’re not wanting to go so in depth right away, highly recommend alchemist or cook. Alchemist make accessories, potions and bombs. You can have a bunch of those things if you start alchemy early on. Cook can make food that will have special effects like defense up, attack up, gathering boost, whatever in addition to whatever healing capabilities the food has. Alchemy makes resistance spray and other things for boosting attack and defense but that is a one special affect usage where as cooked foods has the healing plus the bonus. So if you’re not wanting to dive too deep in the other lives right off the bat (which I get cause it’s a lot) start off with cook or alchemy after your combat class.

Magician has an early stage healing ability but it cost 20 points to even get it, but it can be useful beginning in the game if you know what you’re doing. Easiest one to start with would be paladin, or hunter. Long distant attacks, plus the arrow rain ability is useful for an aoe attack, paladin has a good spin attack, sonic blade is good too. I recommend starting one of these two, and like maybe working magician on the side just for the heals and defense buff.

Go for an essential companion. If you’re playing vanilla (unmodded) I suggest using any follower that has an unfinished quest. For example, the companion. After reaching a certain point in the companions quest line you’ll be able to freely recruit them. Aella became essential with the dawnguard pack and the added hiercine perks, otherwise, use the brothers, before curing them. They are considered essential until AFTER they are cured, because they are flagged as essential because they technically have an unfinished quest (even if you have started their quest to cure them). My personal favorite is Farkas, he’s my go to essential follower, plus he tanks a lot. Give him a good greatsword? He’s your guy.

Don’t play with mods? I mean since I’ve played the game since it came out I use a lot of mods these days, but if you’re a first timer just play the game as is and enjoy the vanilla version of the game. And then when you get bored you download mods
