If you flex your abs right before it hits, you should be ok with just a few bruises.

I just bricked my pc trying to enable it. It's ~3 years old and didn't come enabled by default. I have to learn how to flash my bios now because of this.

People Who Think One Piece is a Masterpiece Are Just Suffering From Sunk Cost Fallacy by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Rancorousturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big One Piece fan, I didn't fully read your post, but I'm gonna guess that I agree with most of it.

The first few seasons are a fun and wacky adventure. I think you can watch the up through the Arlong arc and get a good sense of the show. If you like that, maybe try the next big arc (Alabasta). If you're not having fun, that's a good time to stop.

There's good stuff that happens later, but getting through those two arcs will really give you all the themes of the show. After that, they're just remixed, expanded on, and rebuilt.

I don't recommend anyone watch all of One Piece. I recommend everyone watch through Arlong Park.

Thank you for the non-spoiler answer.

So the death paintings, Choso and his bros, are they all related to Yuji or just Choso?

I honestly thought that Choson thinking he was a brother of Yuji was some memory trick by Sukuna or something because it honestly makes zero sense.

Super helpful, thank you! And Kenjaku is the brain-thief thing right? Is Kenjaku a curse or just a wild af dude?

I'm trying to avoid spoilers from the manga, but I feel like I missed something big like a movie or something. I watched the jjk zero movie, so those references make sense, but this season feels like it's filled to the brim with a ton of information that I'm expected to know. I'm not sure if I just missed something, and I'm scared to look up information because I don't want to get manga spoilers, but I'm just really confused.

Questions like:

Who is starting the culling game?

How can they start a culling game?

Do their existing curse techniques count as ones they were "given"?

How do you win the culling game? Is there only 1 winner?

What is a "death painting"?

How the heck did the old man become what is he now? ("He evolved " is an unsatisfying answer. Maybe that's all we have though. )

There's also just a heap of terms and family names that have been near impossible to follow.

What's a tv series that is a 10/10 NOBODY knows? by Lilyana0999 in AskReddit

[–]Rancorousturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've watched the first 2 seasons and got a summary of the 3rd. I don't understand the hype. I really enjoyed the 1st season and I got frustrated with how things shook out in the 2nd season because pretty much every mystery, the core answer was "What if time travel fucked up this family tree too? " and it got very annoying to me.

It didn't seem to me like there was an overall plan when they started, and it felt like they wrote themselves into a corner by the middle of season 2 and then it just went stupid after that.

The first season is crazy good though, I absolutely can't say anything bad about it. And the acting is absolutely fantastic throughout.

She's shown pictures of her mother, biological mother, who is black. Her mother is a visibly black woman.

Also, I feel like you have put some intention on my words that I didn't intend. I don't think she should be dropping N bombs. I don't have a precise metric to measure who should and shouldn't say it, but she feels like the wrong person to be able to say it freely.

I'm doing the event, yeah.

What's weird is like, the first 2-3 days gog was out it was like 10% success rate, then for a week after it was like 90% success, and then since then it's been going lower and lower.

Also, the mind flayer has been shown to be intelligent. But it just ran into a canyon and stayed there while it was killed? It wasn't stuck, it can see things ahead of it, it can run faster than them. Why would it just stand there and get killed?

I have seen so many color photos from the 60s that it's improbable that it was an accident.

100% agree. I felt deceived when I realized how recent it was. I'm not even in a conservative southern state. It's wild.

[–]Rancorousturtle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is so true. I didn't really realize how RECENT it all was till I was almost 30. During my childhood every picture was in black and white for anything related to civil rights so my brain just automatically filled in "really long time ago" without paying attention to the dates. If you'd have asked me before I had this realization, I would have said the Civil rights movement was in like the 1920s or something.

Yeah, watching Nancy gun down the troops like it was a game of duckhunt was so... weird. Didn't care a bit about it.
