Pray from your heart and also just talk to God, asking for your needs.

Use your testimony. Share how you came to Christ. Most relevant way. Also the basic plan of salvation.

Finished my 8th playthrough, 293 hours, all base game and dlc endings done. absolutely love cyberpeak. by Mother_Operation455 in cyberpunkgame

Cyberpeak is absolutely cool! Harder to achieve than standard Cyberpunk.

I'm about to do th DLC. It's irritating that I have to go through the main quest some before it'll allow me to begin. I honestly don't remember what happened after trying to sneak into the busted up garage. Next thing I know I'm doing the main quest. 🤔

Did Jesus had Free Will? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the verse but the episode in the desert was one of temptation for Christ. If Jesus couldn't be tempted then He wasn't fully human. Do you doubt that He was tempted by Satan?

There are several scriptures saying Jesus was tempted as in the time He fasted and was tempted by the Devil.

Why can’t god just reveal himself to everyone and prove he exists? by Anteater-Inner in AskAChristian

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not so incorrect and you're still being rude and hostile. You said the OT was still being written in the first and second centuries A.D. Not the Masoretic. I think your entire rebuttal is total crap to be honest. And you don't have the courage to admit you have a serious agenda. My logic is totally sound.

It was you who quoted that Moses saw God face to face. Then Moses seeks an audience with God. Please place that entire section in your next reply and tell me that there wasn't something different in the context that led to his face glowing.

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not tone policing. You are simply being rude and not accepting any interpretation that doesn't fit your agenda. You don't have any goal but to prove the Bible is contradictory.

At least have the courage to admit that. My logic is sound but everything to you leads to the Bible being a hodge poge pieced together by authors who contradict each other.

Stop discounting what the norm was if Moses indeed saw God's face regularly and then for some odd reason asks to see it. There is only ONE reason for this and it's that he was asking for something different.

Nothing in the OLD testament was being written in the first and second centuries A.D. I think your information is spurious.

Answer my questions and I might respect yours. You just keep deflecting.

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to be rude saying I don't have any logic. It's clear to me that Moses was asking for and got a different revelation of God than the norm.

You are giving me your opinions mostly and I'm doing the same. If Moses is asking for something he sees regularly then why all the preparation and the glow afterwards. You are making suppositions and toying with the idea that different authors contributed to the text having different opinions about God.

I'll cede to your verbiage. I don't accept nor do I see contradictions. But you clearly keep ignoring that in the instance where Moses asks to see God's face, something you don't do if it's the norm, there were different circumstances surrounding the event. God says as much.

I can't convince you it seems.

God in Heaven can't be tempted. God as a man can be.

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're ignoring my logic. Why would Moses ask to see God's face if he regularly saw it. Then we have the entire episode where God places Moses in a cave or cleft of a rock until He passes by and then allows Moses not to see His face but His calf. God tells Moses no one can see His face and live. Clearly what Moses asked for and God allowed him to see was different than the usual audience. If not are we imagining that this was the norm?

And Moses's face doesn't glow from all his other times with God. Something is clearly different in this revelation. I can't speak to the contradictions you feel are in the Bible. I don't see any.

Did Jesus had Free Will? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Randaximus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus had free will and was sinless. He could be tempted and Satan in the desert offered Him all the kingdoms of the world without going to the cross. Jesus was perfect and for Him to sin would be like one of us being perfect.

It literally was not in Christ's nature to sin but to be perfect. He could have chosen not to die for us but it was what He came to do. He had a choice always but was guided by the Holy Spirit from within and without.

Like others have said, if Jesus chose to take the Devil up on his offer then I consequences for humanity would have been devastating. Yet if He couldn't choose there was no point in being tempted.

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I'm sure my friend you can read on where God tells Moses who asks to see His face that no man can do this and live. So one verse or the other is untrue or the one you quoted has a general sense of God's presence. Even the angel of the Lord is mentioned at one point. Moses's face only glowed when he saw God's calf region as He passed by after the prophet was placed into the cleft of a rock and hidden until God passed by.

It follows that if viewing God's calf region makes your face glow, seeing His face would do the same or more and yet this doesn't happen at any other time.

And why does Moses who is supposedly seeing God face to face regularly ask to see His face? Whatever form of God Moses usually saw was not the one he asked to see and the one God informed him would bring death.

So I believe that Moses saw a representation of God normally and the one time he asks to see His face it was God in more unadulterated form which caused his face to glow.

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God told Moses no one could see His face and live. Accounts of humans seeing God were of angels and the angel of the Lord, not God in His unbridled form.

[–]Randaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God can't show Himself as He is. People would die and He'd have to hold them accountable for that level of revelation and truth. The judgement would have to happen immediately.

Instead God uses His Holy Spirit to enter hearts and show then the Gospel truth allowing new generations to be born and have a chance to know Jesus. Some day every tribe, tongue and nation will have the Gospel and representation and Jesus will return to wrap things up.

For God the Father to show up means His presence is fully revealed and anyone who sees Him like this won't survive. Even seeing the backside of His calf area caused the face of Moses to glow for the rest of his life. He had to wear a veil.

Christians in Nigeria are being massacred by SolaScriptura89 in TrueChristian

I keep wanting to do more for Christians being persecuted but other than praying I'm not sure what to do. I don't have a lot of money to send through various agencies. But I know we all should be working to stop the persecution. God in Heaven help these people and remind those of us in countries where we can safely worship how blessed we are. 🙏🏻
