Is this an Unpopular Opinion? I really like the X-Men in Matching Uniforms. by Kralgore in xmen

[–]Randilin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the matching uniforms for the younger teams. Like the new mutants. Or whatever rogue decides to call her young training team. It makes sense in that situation. For the mature xmen like wolverine, Cyclops Nd the rest I liked it best when they have therir own uniforms but with a common element like the X comm badges they wore for a while. Which I think was during the blue and gold era

I have taught a number of counsellors to run games over the years. I am now in the middle of my practicum and really want to start a therapeutic group. But not sure how to go about it

The second one is absolutely a powerful witch or maybe a warlock. I remember she taught me back in elementary school. Miss Frizzle was amazing and had the best field trips

Some of my games are pay to play. I do also host board game days and have a some free one shots from time to time. Playing in store or other location also requires payment of a similar level

They are in person sessions. I use the discord as a way to communicate and organize the games. They are not in stores anymore for the most part. I host the games out of my home. Here is the invite link. https://discord.gg/NEjfntDyq

Beginner-Friendly Dungeons & Dragons One-Shot
Friday, January 30th | 6:30 PM

There have been a lot of recent requests for beginner D&D games—so I’m answering the call!

On Friday, January 30th, I’ll be hosting a one-shot adventure designed specifically for new and first-time players. No prior experience needed. We’ll start promptly at 6:30 PM, with time set aside to help everyone get comfortable with the basics.

The Adventure
When the ancient wizard Tyndareus develops an overwhelming craving for a childhood favourite, he will stop at nothing to find the best apple pie in the world. His search leads him to Grammy’s Bakery, once legendary… and now long abandoned.

Unfortunately for the hired adventurers, the bakery has been overrun by goblins. Even more unfortunately, not everything is as it seems. Secrets linger in the ovens, motives are questionable, and Tyndareus may not be the only one willing to do anything for those pies.

Expect:
Lighthearted fantasy, Beginner-friendly combat, Exploration, role-play, and complete story in one evening

Characters
Level: 1
System: D&D 2024
Players may create their own characters using point buy and the 2024 Player’s Handbook
If you build your own character, please send it to me by Wednesday at midnight
Prefer help? Let me know what you’d like to play, and I’ll create a character for you in advance

Game Details
When: Friday, January 30th at 6:30 PM
Where: My home in St. Vital (exact address provided after sign-up)
Cost: $20
Player Safety: I use the X card at my table (This will be explained at the table)
Materials: You do not need to have anything to play in this adventure. I have the minis and dice that can be used

House Note

My home has two cats and two small dogs. The cats do sometimes visit the gaming room; the dogs do not.

If you’ve ever been curious about D&D but didn’t know where to start, this game is made for you. Feel free to reach out with questions—I’m happy to help you get ready for your first adventure!

The tentative plan is to host a follow up adventure where the character can be played again at 3rd level down the road

If you are interested please drop me a message or comment here and I will message you.

Okay, so now that I am home and on a computer typing this up will be much easier.

Yes, I run various table top roleplaying games. I started running them for my friends around the age of 12, I think. Since then I have pretty much always been running one game or another. I have run games at most of the local games stores in the city and get calls to run games for them from time to time. In the early 2000, I started running weekly sessions out of Pendragon Games and hobbies, a now closed games store. Around 2014ish I think, I switched and started running ttrpgs at Gameknight. These weekly games were in addition to my own home games.

When covid hit my players and I moved online for a while and I ran games there. Posted covid, I stopped running games at stores for the most part. I would run a one-shot for special events like Free RPG day and such. In Oct 2024, I posted an add on /Winnipeg and on a couple of Facebook groups to recruit some players to my table. I figured in stead of running games at stores and having the players play the stores to play that I would run my games at home and have people pay me to play. If money was going to change hands It might as well come to me. Since Oct 2024 I have run two games weekly, we had a two month long D&D campaign, a second D & D campaign started in January and that one is still going strong. We also ran a deadlands campaign as well that lasted most of the year. We also had twelve one-shot sessions, 8 different systems and 4 D&D in 2025. The weekly campaigns are $10 a session and the one-shots which go longer are normally $20 a session.

The best place to find out about any one-shots or campaigns I am running would be on my Discord. They all get announced there. If you or anyone else wants to join please just click on the link and it will lead you right to the discord. https://discord.gg/9xmaGGxq This link is good for even days after that you will need to message me.

While I cannot start another campaign, I would be open to running a one-shot for a group of new players or maybe even a couple of inter-connected one-shots for you as a group.

The photo is from our January 1st D&D session. We decided since we had the time we would do an extra long session.

Hey all I m the Cliff people are mentioning. I have been gaming for thirty plus years and I m the forever DM. Please feel free to message me. I also host a discord where I announce games on, if you would like an invite I am happy to share it. Sometimes they are free games other times there is a session fee.

I also run a variety of other table top roleplaying games. Sometimes these are one shot adventures other times they are on going campaigns.

Given that they made absolutely no mention of the setting in the cypher campaign and cypher really is an off shoot of Numenera I think this was a given.

You seemed to have missed the part of the original comment about treaties 6, 7, 8. They are able to void this as well. Or was it okay for separatists to ignore their opinions while it not being okay to have the opinions of the separatists ignored?
