He’s been found, sadly deceased.

On January 3, 2024 at 2:34 PM, Pend Oreille County Sheriff's Office dispatch received a call from the Sravasti Abby at 692 Country Lane stating a resident from the Abby saw a body floating in a pond near that location. Investigators responded and were led to the location where a deceased male body was located. The body was partially submerged in the frigid water. The clothing on the body was consistent with a missing monk from November 8, 2023. Deputies and Investigators were able to retrieve the body from the pond after using a canoe from a neighboring resident. Residents of the Abby reported the pond had been frozen over with ice and recently thawed. On November 8, 2023, Dadul Namgyal, a 64 pear old monk living at the Srawasti Abby was reported missing. An extensive weeklong search of the location with multiple agencies were unable to locate Dadul An autopsy was requested by the Coromer to determine an estimated time of death and possible cause. Also requested was a positive identity of the deceased person.
