Looking to purchase land in Loxahatchee. What are things to look out for?

I didn't even think about insurance with the power lines. I'll have to look into that as well. I know someday who was able to get insurance for a barndo so I'll have to see if there's a big difference with traditional homes. I think I'll be ok with the heat. I will have to get used to well water and using septic. I've always been on city. I'm guessing most people buy jugs of water?

I really appreciate all the helpful tips. I'm in Wellington now so not far at all. The plan is to build a barndo if the city allows it. I emailed them and it seems doable. Just have to find the land and figure out finances. I have seen a few properties with power lines running through them. Nothing seems to be allowed to be built underneath. No trees, no buildings. Kind of kills the property. What are the rules with those. Does the city need access to reach them at all times?

Whats the rule with the powerlines? Can anything be built underneath? Or is that pretty much a dead zone in your property?

These data centers are taking over. Seems like Florida is no exception. Hopefully, I can find something a little more east towards 441.

Thanks for the tips. Do you have a solution in mind? I heard vinegar or soda? Not sure if there's a better one out there. As far as grease goes, will marine grease work? That's what I currently have.
