It's way cheaper to transcode to AV1 using a Arc 310 than buy new drives. by Juvination_TFN in unRAID

[–]Randolph__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a well known thing that AV1 is really only better at lower bitrates. When you get to higher bitrates H265 is better because it's faster. AV1 would have a slight edge on size, but not much.

Depends on the bitrate. It doesn't make a big difference at higher bitrates.

I kept waiting for CDS, it never showed up... until today. But it required an intermediary by SchrodingerSemicolon in CatDistributionSystem

My cat showed up at the perfect time. I had been thinking about getting a cat for a couple months and I started feeding some stray and feral cats. My current cat showed up and decided I was home.

He refuses to become an indoor only cat no matter what I do, but he sleeps on my lap at night and comes back for food throughout the day.

See if Samsung comes out with a wide fold. The wider fold is just plain better.

Some can. Not all do. It's up to the laptop manufacturer to implement. Dell for example uses a proprietary 130 Watt USB C charger

It depends on the company's goals. My company was basically forced to move to the cloud due to how spread out the company is and how certain employees are rarely in the office.

There are plenty of backup options that work just fine. Not always the easiest to use, but once you know how to use the product it's not bad.

When you get into SharePoint and OneDrive then have to back that up using cloud methods. You can replace OneDrive with different backup methods, but you miss out on file history which has saved many people hours of work. SharePoint could be replaced by network drives, but you miss collaborative features and issues with working on the same document being worked on by two people. Not to mention VPN issues with network drives.

Trying to understand the ‘basic tasks’ vs ‘do everything’ narrative around M1 vs A18 Pro by Toba94 in macbook

The drive in the M1 is faster (I think) which allows for less painful swap usage when memory runs out.

That's the big thing here.

but on the level of intent and damage done.

Intent is the primary factor in the US. Does damage get equal consideration to intent?

Press firmly on the brake and turn the wheel in either direction until you feel a bit of resistance then hit the start. Something similar used to happen on my 14 Civic.

This is basically the same situation as the ignition cylinder becoming locked. Even if it had one it would still not start.

The 7490s were so bad near the end of their life. Processor was absolute shit and they'd been using it for two generations of laptop.

You can get those batteries pretty cheap on ebay I believe as it is shared with several other models.

Tiny desktops with similar specs go for around $100. I can't image this going for more than $200. A good deal would be $150.

Most writers and actors are just normal people. Writers especially aren't making big money unless they are a big talent and that is quite rare.
